Nah it happens rather frequently actually. Or perhaps not 50 in day 1, but later in the game >50 a day isn't unnormal.
Only when one has a Dane in the same pack or JL... ;)

As Daffius said: Why?

Why do you think it better to post it in the thread and THEN ignore it? Why not just ignore it, then see who takes my bait and gets outed? Which, by the way, is what everyone else did, right up until you revealed the attempt.

Naive goodie would have been "yay, I caught a baddie" and happily brought up the issue in thread and outing the fisherman. But if it was obviously fishing attempt that was noticed, why bring it up like that? It's somewhat suspect way that's been used to handle it. Eternaly_Lost seems like above average scan target. Hilarious scenario PMs, by the way.

I agree that E_L looks quite suspicious for posting that phishing attempt that early. And marty is suspicious for having a full PM box too. He has a 50 PMer just like everybody else who have been registered over 4 years, so he must have quite some PM correspondence going.

I don't know, PM boxes do tend to fill up fast, especially (no idea if this is true) if Marty is rather vanilla goodie - he'd not expect much in the way of PMs soon, especially such a barrage of fishing PMs and such.

That makes absolutely no sense. Unless the hunter is supposed to stand outside your house and fire through the wall; but then he would likely miss...

Well, I wouldn't necessarily use this iteration of hunter shot being wasted but I can understand the RP logic. He's not armed with some modern rifle, he only has ancient (plasma) matchlock. And to be sure he kills without getting killed he has burning match when entering the lover's room. However, it's empty and while waiting the match burns out. Since he has no replacement, it's now useless gun.

Here's what goodie me thought: "Oh wow, Ironhead made a big mistake and sent this to me by mistake. I'd better post this in the thread ASAP. Then again, we already have the Euro outing... Better wait for tomorrow."

*check thread*

"Oh wait, he was just fishing. Never mind."

I thought it was rather obvious from the get go it's fishing. Then again, if he didn't know Hax had done that in previous game he might have thought it could work on newer players.

Yes, I read that. So the question is, do we want to have him shoot EURO, or do we want to put somebody else in front?

I don't know. I would be perfectly happy to keep hunter in reserve and just get Euro lynched today. But feel free to agitate for somebody else.

Yep, Wagonlitz tends to be rather talkative. :p

But why not put out the match when noticing there is nobody. Or at least after having waited for quite a while?

It's hard to keep up... How did I ever have enough time to keep up with these last year?

Either way, I think we should let Sed shoot Euro. As a rule I tend to ignore anything an outed wolf says, and therefore don't believe his claim that he can't be shot. I'd leave him to be useful for later, *if* hunter was also OEO, but as it's not, I don't suspect he'd live till then. Even though he's an obvious protection target, I don't think we could protect him everyday. Protect him today, they get him tomorrow.

Now that it is known that he is a hunter, he needs to use his shot quick or die, and Euro is the best target we have.

Then the question is, who should I vote instead? I can't imagine why a goodie EL would post that in the thread, but then again, I can't picture why a baddie EL would do it either. The theory of warning his packmates doesn't really make sense, I tend to reply to PMs only after having read all the ones I've gotten. If anything, it's the thread I'm likely to not check.

Then again, he could have been warning *other* baddies, but would a baddie risk making himself look suspicious just for that?

Stop talking as if I'm not going to shoot someone tonight. People will die, captain's orders.

Focus on analysis, and lynching who we believe to be a baddie as per normal democratic procedure.

And zombies, kindly unvote Euro and vote whomever you believe is most suspicious.

As has been pointed out before: If nobody is shot tonight, I die tomorrow.

So, we have an outting and now the wolves are trying to save their packmate, by bandwagon me.

That the only reason I see to not vote for Euro. So, should they manage to pull it off, I am sure we have quite a few good lynches when you all see that I am a villager here.

Unvote EURO Vote Eternaly_Lost

The case on E_L is bogus, completely. But he could yet be a wolf anyway - his response was someone that isn't really dependent on role so much. And since he seems to be most likely to be getting votes in EURO's stead he gets my vote for now to try and get a decent voting cycle. If I can get more votes off EURO, we can try out different candidates too.

No reason not to take Sed's word at face value. He is obviously a hunter, even though that doesn't clear him of being a baddie 100%.

Orders from the high command.
Why?

There is almost no conceivable chance Sed would lie about his role here. He has NOTHING, NOTHING to gain from lying about it. And he has literally EVERYTHING to lose. If he lies about it, he gets lynched within 48 hours, guaranteed.
Plus if we lynch him he won't shoot EURO, since he is dead. That really is a retarded vote.
