Dont blame me for shooting you then....I'm saving you by keeping the 4 way tie... I'm a bloody hero I am!

That's just capitalist propaganda! All true soviets know that I would willingly sacrifice myself for them.
*your disagreement has been noted*
It's a philosophical lesson.
Dont blame me for shooting you then....

he is saying that you are a class enemy to the proletariat and must be excorcised with the violence of the working mob!Lord Acton is above the name-calling propaganda.
So you are saying that you want the sham vote prize after all?

A social policy founded on middle -class cowardice, which consists in always surrendering before the threat of violence, cannot fail to engender the idea that the middle class is condemned to death, and that its disappearance is only a matter of time. Thus every conflict which gives rise to violence becomes a vanguard fight, and nobody can foresee what will arise from such engagements ; although the great battle never comes to a head, yet each time they come to blows the strikers hope that it is the beginning of the great Napoleonic battle (that which will definitely crush the vanquished) ; in this way the practice of strikes engenders the notion of a catastrophic revolution.Liberty is not the power of doing what we like, but the right to do what we ought.
(( hope it's not too late for this shamvote))
It is indeed a good villager sacrifice; I won't make it though, since I don't want to not really play in two bigs in a row. Had EURO not decided that it is fun as a goodie to just shoot a random player, then I might have considered it.It would be perhaps a loss to the winner but it might be a boon for village. Brutal would be expended on the vote winner thus leaving one brutal less for JL. And if there has emerged JL by the time brutal wolf gets lynched the wolf would have to make a decision whether to whack JL spokesman (or try to hunt JL scanners or whatever) or to take out the day 0 vote winner hunter.
I cannot be entirely sure of course, but I also don't think we have much of that. Most former politicians either go back to doing what they did before being elected, or become political analysts for the media. I don't know how much lobbying there is, but considering that unions and nature preservation groups and similar things often have a large influence on things touching on their interests, there cannot be too much big business interferring with the politicians. The only example I can come up with is the late Mærsk McKinney Møller (chairman of APM Mærsk and son of APM), who when the right wing government was planning something (cannot remember what) threatened to move the administration of Mærsk out of Denmark---I think the proposal was adjusted. But Mærsk was a dinosaur who controlled the biggest shipping company in the world and a large oil business; he also were known for suddenly deciding that Denmark needed a gift, like when he around 2000 decided to give Copenhagen a billion $ opera house---it gave him legacy and earned him the elephant order as one of the only civilians ever, but otherwise it wasn't a profitable move at all. When he died analysts claimed that the heirs don't have the same kind of power and cannot just shell out a few billion for an opera house or some hundred million for a Danish school for the Danish minority in Schleswig even though the family fonds controlling the company still have more money than it can spend (Mærsk would have been among the richest on the Forbes list, if he and not the he completely controlled fonds had been the official owners---also the fonds were made to make sure control of the company stayed in the Mærsk family; not for tax reasons); if that is true then the heirs also shouldn't be able to threaten the politicians in the same way.Not in this form, at least. And not as badly.
There are other, more subtle ways money corrupts government officials after they have risen into positions of power, though. Paid lobbying is one. Corporations giving ex-politicians cozy positions on their boards after they retire is another.
And how can we know you didn't just nominate yout packmate. If you propose picking somebody else, you cannot also propose this somebody else. That is actually a danger that the wolves could just propose one of their own to take the trait; although the threat of being hunted by other packs would perhaps be enough not to do it.There is also the possibility of creating a 4-way TIE, therefore making sure that nobody gets a hunter trait. However, I think one "sacrifice" to the wolves/brutal will be a good thing, especially if the wolves turn out to be gentlemanly and not hunt the vote winner.
Therefore,

There indeed are many posts; I personally am glad university doesn't start again until late August. There are going to be so many zombies in this game.
It's hard to keep up with so many posts.
It truly is amasing; I also cannot believe I already have more than 80 posts before the night 1.Also, congrats to THE_SPLIT and Arkasas for somehow making over 100 posts in a WW thread before the game really starts. That's some kind of achievement. Either of their posts on their own are by this stage already bigger than some games.
THE SPLIT would gladly sacrifice himself in the bold cause of proletariat revolution!I don't see why people are so certain that whomever will get the trait will be hunted immidiately. I mean, isn't that person the best GA/Padre target? It'd be pretty stupid for a pack to do this.
Though if no one else wants it this villager here will gladly "sacrifice" himself.
