Guys, I know a lot of you are in the JL and IJL and packs and VC and barbie doll club, however I - and presume most of us - find it difficult to follow the conversations here, which are based on inside knowledge. I know it's difficult to differentiate between what only you know and what is public knowledge, but you could at least try.

There is very little that I know that isn't known to the wolves.

ATM all - non superhero - villagers can do is go with names being thrown about. I personally don't feel compelled to do any actual digging, as I feel any knowledge or case I could gather would be useless, compared to the information available to some.

From the responses, I've managed to put together who are in what roles and some spy reports also help get a picture, however if someone could summarise what actually happened with Euro and the council (looking at you Randy) it would be appreciated. Names that are not yet public or information that is not available to the baddies and could be potentially harmful, should be covered up obviously.

Well. It's a long story, really. Most of it has been told, and I'm not sure trying to dig up the remaining pieces of it is very helpful, since pretty much the main protagonists are dead. Except for the council and some remaining important goodies, I suppose.

It would be beneficial to the village, because similar to myself what most villagers in the dark would do is blatantly bandwagon whoever the pressumed JL brings forward, which doesn't help vote analysis once the eternal conflict of good and evil is over.

I know. I don't really like it much either. Unfortunately it will probably take another few days for this thing to run it's course.

No, he can send in both scan and protection orders every day. However, if he sucessfully protects someone he won't get a scan result from the following night. So on the night following the day when EURO was protected he did not get a scan result.

I asked the GM and that is how he explained it way back when people were speculating about Arkasas being protected or not.

Right. That clears that up.
So that night we had one scan, one protection, and one .. apprentice? Guardian Council visit?

EDIT: I'm with Daffius on feeling left out. Usually it is better for the JL to not make everything public because that would mean baddies will know everything the JL knows. However if the baddies already know - and I think we must assume everything EURO knew, the baddies know - why keep the villagers out of the loop?

I'm doing my best to keep the village in the loop as much as possible.

For the guardian council, there isn't much to tell. Euro knew the entire list of council members when he was still JL spokesperson, and I had no more than a spy report on cymsdale mentioning snoop and madchemist as members.
At that point tonkatoy told me he had been in contact with the GC himself, and mentioned to me that they had doubts about both snoopdogg and EURO. Snoopdogg was left out of their discussions because of that.

Only after I outed EURO madchemist approached me by PM asking me what to do. The PM only however was send to me, not the rest of the council. Something that heightened my suspicion level, because frankly, if there's anything the council needs it's full disclosure.

At that point I asked them to put in a conditional order to shoot arkasas, or in the alternative, protect skobolev (the padre - something I also know from spy reports in combination with some remarks that EURO made), and put in a scan order on madchemist.

The rest of it you know. I'm keeping them sitting on skobie for the forseeable future, so that at least the padre stays functional for a few more days.

Night 0 - jcucc:

You cast your spying eye on Dr. Seuss tonight. However, he seems to spend most of his night in his room. After a while he exits, but as you watch him, it looks as if he is merely going to the toilet. You slip into his room, and quickly scan around. You see a box of photo albums, that have evidently been looked at recently, but that is the only item of interest you can gather quickly. You leave immediately, and not a moment too soon as the Doctor returns from the bathroom shortly after. You puzzle over what you have seen. You didn't see much, but did the photo album mean anything?

Night 1 - Comm. Cody:
(snip - PM too long, nothing of interest remaining except to note that it basically cleared him.)

Night 2 - Cymsdale:
marty99 said:
You spy on Thomas Hobbes tonight. He stays up relatively late tonight, drinking in the lounge and playing cards. You join in the revelries to keep close to him. At long last he leaves, and after an appropriately long wait, you make your excuses and leave too, following him. Curiously, he does not go to his room, but to a secluded, secondary living room. You dare not go in but you hear several voices inside. Amongst them you can pick out those of Hobbes, Burke and Vizzini. They speak so low, however, that you cannot make anything out. After a while you leave before you get caught. You pass his room on the way by, you nearly miss it, but in the corner of your eye you make out someone standing in the shadows, watching Hobbes's door. The clothes, posture and hair make it clear it is an English gentleman, either Lord Acton or Sherlock Holmes, but you cannot decide between them. You hurry back to your room.

Council: Cymsdale. Madchemist. Snoopdogg.
The watcher options: Gen. Skobelev or AsdfeZxcas. Would one of them be a spy as well?

Night 3: AsdfeZxcas
marty99 said:
You spy on Sherlock Holmes tonight. However, he goes to bed early, and does nothing for the rest of the night. It appears you have not gained much from tonight, although were the roles reversed, perhaps something might be inferred.

Night 4: EUROO7
marty99 said:
You decide to spy on EUROO7. In the hour or so you spend encamped outside his chambers, however, you hear not a sound from onside, and the door is locked shut. William of Ockham appears to be a very heavy, and quiet, sleeper. On your way back to your room you hear several noises, and footsteps, around. It appears the castle is busy. You pull out your gun and hurry quickly back to your room...
It is trashed, things moved, tables overturned. Someone is trying to send you a message, or learn something about you.
Or both.

Wagonlitz spy report said:
night 4: Spied on randy

After spending so much time on Buffy, you figure the logical step is to check out her paramour, Mayor Wilkins. You wait until late at night, then slip out towards his room. Just as you get near his room, you come upon Rovsea coming the other direction. What was he doing there? Were you the last person to see him alive? He appears worried by what was on his mind, rightly so, in hindsight. You stake out randakar's room, but he doesn't appear to be in. Someone else is, though - Winston Churchill! After he leaves, you follow him. After a good 20 minutes of walking behind him, randakar appears from view. Humancalculator gasps, as if finally realising something, then disappears. Randakar hears the noise, and you duck behind a bust of Frederick the Great as he looks your way. You hear the sound of a weapon being drawn, however randakar runs away. You judge it wise not to pursue him. Instead you try and find your bearings, as you have no idea where you are.

Night 5: Johho
marty99 said:
You spy on William of Ockham tonight. As you talk towards his bedchambers, you see Soren Kierkegaard walking the other way, in a hurried fashion. Curious, as he lives nowhere near. As you get to his bedchambers, you see the same English gentleman you saw before, slipping out of EUROO7's room and running away. Again, you could not decide who it was. He foolishly leaves EURO's door open and unlocked. You enter.

William is sleeping soundly, you search around, and move closer to the bed. Under the pillowcase, just beside EURO's head, you see a glint of steel. But before you have time to process it, EURO jumps. You quickly sprint out of the room, and don't stop until you get back to your room, as you hear footsteps behind you. You shut your door and ponder over what you have seen.

Night 6: Madchemist
marty99 - spy report said:
You follow Edmund Burke from the dining room after supper, expecting him to to go to bed. He doesn't. Instead you see him visiting first Sappho then Vizzini then Plotinus. He goes to bed afterwards and does little for the rest of the night,

I don't have a spy report for night 7 yet, in case you folks are wondering.
Also, I'd like to hear from our newly minted priest about his scan this evening ..

Right. That clears that up.
So that night we had one scan, one protection, and one .. apprentice? Guardian Council visit?

That's the best explanation. Snoopdogg council visit (coupled with madchemist being suspicious of him plus sbr seer-scanning him) makes him least likely baddie out of them, perhaps. Scan target is unlikely baddie as why should he try to find more baddies as he is already in touch with all packs and thus safe from hunts. So that leaves the third as protection target; a likely baddie. Question is, which one of them is he?

I know what you feel and sort of feel the same. I'm just waiting for the inevitable death so don't feel like making massive analysis (for what it would even be worth). Though I did make the vote counts to include pre-outings should that prove useful for village in latter part of the game.

At least JL making accusations makes people open up so that's to the good. You think all rivalries etc. would have been voluntarily given up in the thread otherwise?

I scanned tonka on night 1. I just selected someone at random and hoped to bag a wolf. That way I could have outed him early and helped start a JL. Alas, that was not to be.

Hum hom. Walrus, when did you spy Ithvan? Looks like you spied on Lemeard on night one. Could you verify the timing? If In the beginning was Lemeard, and the Tie was with Lemeard, and the Lemeard was Tie... then how could the spy report show you tired on the next night? Or do the spy reports show results of previous nights action instead of the current night, too? I'm confused.

Drat. That conversation with tonka looks legit. Ditto for the conversation with EURO.

Conversation looks legitimate but the spy report timing seems weird. I didn't check properly but has there been actions from previous night showing up in any of the spy reports?

Lemeard was indeed my first scan, and checking back at my PMs I didn't miss a scan on the first night.

So it went Lemeard > Ithvan > Rovsea (Hack GM not reading my PMs properly :shakehead:) > randakar > couple of nights off with sickness. May have missed a scan between Ithvan and Rovsea, or Rovsea and randakar. I forget.

Hmph.

"You cast your inquisitive talents on Bertrand Russell last night, however he does nothing of note. In fact, he heads to bed extremely early, and appears notably tired as he enters his chambers. It appears he did not get much sleep last night."

I suppose it could indicate that the most interesting thing with Ithvan is already used up, now he's just ordinary village resting after previous night scan business.

Unvote Ithvan
