Dass is aber merkwürdig. Wie kann man nicht Deutsch flüssig sprechen, wenn man auf Deutsch denken kann?
I am guessing you are American and chose German as your foreign language in primary school (or whenever you Americans get foreign languages). How is the quality of the classes there?
Actually, my dad started teaching me the basic stuff, and since then I've just been teaching myself as best as I can. I take French at my school, and have been for three years (going into my fourth). My teacher is amazing, but the quality of the class itself is horrible, and I haven't learned much. Anyway, my main issue with the fluency is speaking. I have never spoken to a native speaker, and I don't know how heavy my accent is or if I'll be able to tell what they're saying, and there's also the issue with "Die, der das, dem, den, des, dies, diese, dieser..." which I can almost never get right.
