No you couldn't. You could be THE apprentice of the seer, or THE apprentice of the priset, but not what you write up there.
If you are seriously not a baddie, you can be a little bit useful by telling us who you think is a wolf.

After that.. who knows... MadChemist could be a wolf but it's only a feeling.
Well I was expecting to save myself thanks to my VH claim, then some important goodie could scan me tonight and that way I could be safe. It didn't work, a pity.

After finding the camel dead, the players are quick to accuse people of the murder. However, one person with several votes tries to get himself saved, but due to the Dungeon Master's mistake the players get angry and make him choke on dice. Only after his death did they hear the Dungeon Master's dismay at his own error. However, DM's word is law, so it is too late.
Then Ibralf decides to go and relieve himself in the restroom. Once there he is attacked, and manages to hack one of the attackers with a +5 sword of brutal hacking to death. However he still gets stabbed in the back, and crumples and dies.

Can we clear the veteran players of being part of the Basketball pack simply because I can't imagine they would have hunted a OEO?
Sad to say, it's a sensible move by the wolves. Prevents JL formation behind a nigh-invincible spokesman.
As for the GM error, my reaction is best expressed in panel 11 here.

Ofc, but I'd expect a hunter shot here. It's higher in the night order list so we can say wolves either saved their shot in exchange for a death (lol wolves), or they haven't been given one (your statement probably applies). Could be the wolves with the shots were not online at deadline. That would be lol wolves again though.
OEO works on any nightly attack. A hunter shot on the vH would result in a wolf death just as much as a hunt.
Oooooooooooh I mixed it up with another trait then. Goddammit I should read page 1 already. Also the shot probably wouldn't have been anonymous.
