While the use of x may be protection for a goodie, his inclusion in the PMs struck me as a bit odd.
Inclusion of what? That torn contacted me?
And then wagon posts an accustom against Jerman, which quickly led to a rush of votes against him, one less than a minute after the accusation was posted. I feel like this was a coordinated attack against Jerman. As to Jerman himself, I find the case on him weak, for it assumes that the rival chains alternate between cursed villager and baddie. I think that's a big assumption to make as we only have last nights evidence to go on.
You really think that baddies would drive up somebody that blatantly?
Also it is customary that the rival of a wolf has some kind of protection.

So, as I see it, there are a few decent cases.

- Wagonlitz
Defended Torn hard yesterday. While this is suspicious, I think that a wolf Wagon would be a tad less stupid about defending fellow baddies, so probably not worth a lynch yet. Someone to watch.

- Jerman
Had a cursed rival, heavily implying he could be a baddie. That being said, the quick run-up on him seems too odd to ignore. Again, someone to watch.

- Livingstone
Had some of the most classic baddie tells (or so I've heard). No real proof of virtue, added to the fact that everyone in the pre-Delta shenanigans yesterday doing the run up on him voted for Torn at some point or another, save one.

Of all these, I think Livingstone's is the most compelling.

You are withholding information from the village that Torn gave to you.
You really think that baddies would drive up somebody that blatantly?
Also it is customary that the rival of a wolf has some kind of protection.
I don't know if your a baddie or if you enable baddies. Jerman might well be guilty, and those who vote him innocents. However, there was a very fast drive against Jerman. Perhaps wolves saw your post and decided that it was a good case. Perhaps you made it blatant for the reason you could go back and say that it was blatant.
As to the customary rivals, that is by no means a set thing. It is entirely possible that the GM decided on the rivals just so it would appear to be in the customary rival sets.

Ok so Delta was just an idiot while Tornadoli indeed turned out cultist. Pretty interesting brutal by Delta but fortunate one. Unfortunately seeing how both cultists were unattached there's not much we can learn; nobody would have had vested interest to steer votes away from Tornadoli to protect their packmate.

Also, looks like there's hell of a lot scanning abilities & rivals. I wouldn't be surprised there's no important goodies at all and it's just spread out to individual goodies.

JermanTK seems okayish candidate for his claim to be rival of cursed. Could also be innocent or both of them are cursed or... something, I guess. However, I'll vote for somebody who missed the vote yesterday and piled on JermanTK today. Sure, it's fair vote but also extremely lazy to go for JermanTK without anything else in the vote post than just vote.

On the road today, so may be on for another half hour today at max and won't be on for deadline. Livingstone's case on Wagon makes little sense, but he's actually given some promised analysis, which is more than could be said of a bunch of people. Jerman often gets run up for little to no reason, and the rival thing is a thin thread to tug on this early in the game - especially because rivals are not necessarily a pair according to tamius' rules.

As the general consensus amongst some of the more experienced players seems to be that Jerman has quite possibly outed himself as a baddie:

Vote Jerman

Jerman did nothing of the sort. He claimed Delta was his rival, and a bunch of players assumed that goodie-baddie rival pairs are the only possible. Vote-following on a lazy case is classic wolfish behavior.

Was my statement not true?:
"the general consensus amongst some of the more experienced players seems to be that Jerman has quite possibly outed himself as a baddie"

Why would you defend someone who appears to many to be a lynch worth investigating?

Quite a few people made the leap that he was a rival with a goodie, therefore he must necessarily be a baddie. Forgive me if I disagree with that logic, especially since Delta was cursed.

As for your second statement, I'm interested in finding wolves, not running up the same silly day 1/day 2 cases that villages love to blindly follow like lemmings and about 80% of the time end up in a wasted day and a dead villager. I find the reasoning behind voting for Jerman unpersuasive, especially since he volunteered the information about having Delta as a rival in the first place. And glomming on to a subpar case, explicitly claiming that you are following more experienced players' reasoning, is certainly noteworthy in my book - saves you the trouble of actual analysis AND subtly fingers them if you are wrong.

Your 'analysis' of the process of running up a 'silly' case implies to me that the more likely wolves would be the ones who initially identify the 'silly case'. Maybe you'd be better looking at them given your 'analysis'?

Personally though, I don't consider the case on Jerman to be 'silly'. Apparently you think that a vote that 'looks lazy' and is thus vaguely wolfish (in your opinion) is a better case than the Jerman one. That frankly seems silly to me.

Interesting developments while I was asleep. Still think Jerman is a good candidate- even assuming a rival chain, Delta being cursed would be standard protection from a wolf rival. In a somewhat recent game I was in a rival chain as a baddie, and my rival was cursed. And this game I had npstr as a rival, so I think the possibility of a chain alternating goodies and baddies is certainly true in part, and possibly true on a larger scale.

Some people have claimed Jerman is a likely goodie because he revealed the info about Delta without being compelled to. This is nonsense for a very simple reason:

A. Jerman is a villager and revealed himself as having a cursed villager as his rival.
What he gains from this: ?????
What hurts him from this: He becomes a major candidate because it is likely that the rival who needs to kill a cursed villager is a wolf.

B. Jerman is a wolf and revealed himself as having a cursed villager as his rival.
What he gains from this: ?????
What hurts him from this: He becomes a major candidate because it is likely that the rival who needs to kill a cursed villager is a wolf.

What do you know, scenarios A and B are both pretty much identical in what they accomplish. All his decision to reveal himself without pressure suggests is that he's an idiot. It's a null either way.

All that said, Livingstone's not a bad candidate for his non-committal posts that got him in the spotlight, and then lackluster damage control. Wouldn't be opposed to a tie.

I agree with the fact that JermanTK didn't have much to gain either as a baddie or a goodie by revealing he was Delta's rival, as either way he would be in the spotlight, as it has been proved during the day. In any case, it wasn't the smartest of moves, but neither does this makes him a confirmed baddie.

Livingstone isn't on solid ground either, as many before have pointed out. So far, both of them are good lynching targets, but for now I'll go with Livingstone, as I'm inclined to think that Jerman's reveal was more of a dumb move and it can't be confirmed he is a baddie because his rival was a cursed villager.
