Ryo,u r funny

i left Poland after the 2th gang ( and i won the first vs KJ,Beli and JTU  without any help )
i didnt leave NL in flames : me and Drake were doing very well in that war,but i switched at england coz he need leave, also as perm

about my last war vs Milan, there was a leon-huns vs normandy-milan (very balanced)
u r the richest, and i thought u could send some troops to help milan,or money also

about this war,huns-hansa vs normandy-norway,also seeing the stats ( MP left and current troops,WE and WS) i think it ll be solved in a WP ;)

BTW guys,

A couple of people assumed that I'll be back for Hansa tonight. The reality is that I never signed up for a perm position, and just was subbing. I may be late for game time today due to a real-life commitment -- so I suggest if possible to find another player to sub or be perm. I'm sorry for leaving it in war, but that's where we ended.

With that said, if you guys want/need me after I'm back, I'll be more than happy to play a little. But I will probably be late.

I am going to edit JTU his conquistador that he lost during the time he was dropped. I will transfer the file as soon as I get home from school to the host (9:00 PM EST or a few mins later).

i was luck in conversions (4 upon 7),but i got a lot stabhits :(

btw, this game is much balanced :we have 3 economic monsters (Norway,Normandy and Sparta),2 strong all around (Leon and Syria),2 military colossus (cossacks) followed by my Huns, hanseatic that in good hands may grow again and Milan (same of hansa)

Another great session in this game, I love it! :D

I do not know about Drew, I cannot speak for him, but my position on the trade war is very simple. The Spartan League has a choice to make. Either....

1. An embargo drop against Normandy will be reciprocated in kind. Sparta will impose no condition on the "aggression", "volume", or "nature" of Norman trade patterns. Neither will Normandy impose any such restrictions on Spartan trade. Everyone trades as they wish. If merchants are lost, they will be replaced. It is that simple.

2. The embargo stays up and Sparta will become the subject of further plotting while their economy drags from their inability to trade in Norman COTs or any other COTs closed to their merchants due to Norman diplomatic pressure.

Norman finance will NEVER allow itself to be regulated by the whims of Greeks.

EDIT: And any attempt to manipulate TAs will result in massive retaliation as demonstrated this session.

VERSION 1.8 OF MY MOD IS NOW AVAILABLE!

My testing reveals it is backward compatable with version 1.7 save files; i.e. our save will work with new version. So download it!

It should only affect our game through the religion.csv changes which double colonists and missionaries spawn rate for all religions.

Link is in my signature btw

Alright, I am just putting this up here so that everyone knows what is going on. I have looked more at the mods effect on our save game and I have discovered it affects a couple things actually.

What Will Change For Us With 1.8:

1. Religion Boosts I dicussed previously. Double colonists. Double Missionaries.

2. Goods have their base-values reduced, this cuts trade in Europe roughly in half, maybe only by a third in some cases, but it is a very downward trend. This pushes Norway into #1 income spot (thanks to Mexican Gold) and lowers the Norman position down to rough parity with Sparta and Cossacks.

3. The province.csv changes OVERWRITE the saved native parameters. Thus all those 20000 non-hostile natives in Ethiopia just got hostile. Same in Peru. This benefits Drew disproportionately because he got Mexico colonized up so there are no native there, but it isnt an enormous advantage. India and China are now full to the brim with hostile natives. Within the first year, we should see quite a few TPs burnt to cinders by these new natives. However, other changes to the province.csv did not come through. I find this very odd, but it does finally explain why Shigure was never able to get his randomizer to randomize native size and aggression.

4. I changed the default religion of Thrace, Smyrna, and Anatolia to be Sunni instead of Orthodox. Now I notice when I load the save that Drake now has Sunnis in those three provinces. Drake, you did convert those right? It is possible that because the default religion wasnt changed, that value wasnt stored in the save and thus it became altered when the new province.csv was applied. This seems to be the only instance of this, but I implore everyone to look at the save for anything like this that I may not have noticed. And Drake, tell me if my assumptions are right here.

What I Could Further Cause Using Editing:

In 1.8, I centralized a lot of the province values using "include" files. Thus I have several include files that radically alter the province setup. For the randomization scenarios, there is an include file that gives all European provinces into 20 base-tax and 10 manpower. There is another that makes all provinces European culture. Therefore, I could theoretically remove the entire province data section from the savegame and add a couple include file commands and then loading the save would convert all European provinces to European 20-base-tax and 10 manpower provinces. This would be a huge change and Dago/John have already told me they would be against it. It could alter the balance of power in Europe. I will run a test of this, see what happens, and report back.

An Observation:
I think that Milan may be nerfed by these changes. I am thinking mainly of trade. That was really what was saving Milan, but with it AI all last session I think it may be toast. Perhaps we could move JTU to Hanseatic League? I dont know. He likes to tough it out in rough spots, I have noticed. But without the 20-base-tax and 10 manpower edit, I dont think Milan can survive much longer.
