I edited out 6 of the loans and the remaining loans got an interest rate cut to make them less painful. The province transfer I assume will be done in-game. NAP and non-conversion of Tunisia dont need editing. That sounds like all that needed to be done edit-wise.

We have a leader-randomization coming up in 1669.

See you guys tonight

Terrific session. Army upgraded to top notch, fleet rebuilt, economy restored, and some of my lands recovered.

Vive Leon!

Saruman now goes to war with Rohan.

Normandy has weathered the mighty storm. Despite horrific defeat by two evil opponents, she still is the richest nation of all. And her fleet is fabulous. Going into the upper levels, Normandy's crushing naval victories in the "War of Norwegian Aggression" left the Norwegians with virtually ZERO blue-water fleet vessels. The Normans, however, possess 140 modern ships-of-the-line. We are unrivaled in modern warship capabilities and it is unlikely we will face real rivalry in the near future.

However, the immense money devoting to developing this capability, under the assumption that the Norwegians were building such capability as well, allowed them to invest in manufactories. This investment has brought Norwegian technology up to equality and this is alarming. Future trends must be analyzed by our war department.

Our most SEVERE PROBLEM is manpower. Many in Normandy blame this problem on our deep commitment to our children. Most Normans are raised in small households. This is in contrast to the Norwegians and Leonese who breed like hyper-active rabbits. Perhaps the debasing societies of these nations combined with the looseness of their women is responsible for their prolific procreation! Until such time as this can be remedied, we must resort to fortification and high quality training regimens to keep our armies competitive. Alas, the "War of Norwegian Aggression" illustrates our reliance upon a standing army and our lack of regenerative capacity.

Fortunately, we are entering this war with a healthy and well-provisioned army. May God's blessing keep it intact.

It is so fucked up that I have 100 MP while my rivals have 200+ and I am getting ganged by them. Especially since I see Drew is building an army in Scotland now, preparing to attack me after my army gets chewed to bits in France. This is really lame that I am huge and rich but I only have 100 manpower. Hell, HANSA HAS MORE MANPOWER THAN ME!!! AHHHHHHH!!!

It doesnt even matter if I win vs John, Drew is going to ass-fuck me with HIS 200k+ army and 200k reinforcements. This is depressing.

At this point, I have to just say Drew won. I will just sit here and get killed until we restart.

stop to bitching as a whore, damn
yesterday i was dowed by normandy-leon-hansa while i had 7 WE and in war vs norway, that wanted just keep my WE high (and also this war started when i had 3 WE)
apart 5 minutes of silence and a couple of ironical comments,i restarted to play as nothing was happened
and i dont think i neither deserve that
it was the first lost war,and really suxx lose in that way
also when i thought i played fairly until that moment :
someone has forgot the ironical posts :D of KJ when he knew just that the Huns joined to help sparta
someone has forgot that before that war Leon defeated norway-normandy alone
i gave a fair war also a zeit ( and he may confirm this ) leaving a lot troops in italy and in baltic
but what i get?the GANG!the only REAL gang until now

so ,indeed,stop these complains
after every session there is an hipotetical winner, and i may count until 4 ppl indicated as sure winners in last 5-6 sessions
only 1 of them needed be ganged, but whatever :p

Jeebus, why is everybody saying *I* should invade Norway? Did y'all just not see that I have over 20 inflation and I'm still nowhere near LT 26?

I'm not saying you guys should edit Hansa to make them viable as an aggressor-state, but don't expect much out of me in that respect unless I end up catching a looooooooooooooong period of peace where I can lick my wounds at least a little bit.

We could justify some kind of edit since Hansa was ai'd. Perhaps even something more, since you took it while you still could've chose to stick with Milan, thus helping the group.

Sparta needs some edits too. Maybe 50 galleys, + 2kD, something like that.

Dago, even if you held back, and I do believe you did, it was rather unnecessary imo. Either way, you attacked me with Leon and I pretty much fought a hopeless war, praying for intervention that sadly never came.

Even though it might have been a nice gesture, it didn't really change the reality that I lost Ragusa and I just didn't have the manpower to field the troops to stop both you and KJ, and in fact really managed to stop neither and gave up Napoli and Ragusa in the process. I quickly exhausted what I could build, and then the front gave way under the weight of your reinforcements and leader. You didn't even face my leader who was whiling away his time trying to hold back the evil Leonese in Tunis, which ultimately failed as well.

I'm not complaining, it was an excellent move strategically, but you shouldn't play the martyr here. You had a gang coming if nothing else because of your sheer strength, and my only regret is that I missed the fun :) Although 4 countries does seem a tad excessive.

EDITED:
6.3% inflation reduction for Hansa, down to 15% (still above TAF)
1000 cash to Hansa
1000 cash to Sparta

Sparta has more galleys than any other nation. So no edit needed there

From the perspective of Leon, the top 8 most powerful countries in the world.

#8 Syria- despite having a fairly good income, an expansive empire and high manpower, it lacks the means to defend itself against any would be attacker. It's dp settings hurt morale and leader stats quite badly, and land tech is the lowest in the world. The only thing it has going for defense is diplomacy, using its cot to gain powerful allies, which can only help so much.

#7 Hanseatic League- 20 inflation, ouch. Income isn't so great either, but once it gets LT 26, not far from 23 where it's at now, it'll at least be able to contend with its neighbors. Hansa's dp settings give it +1 fire and shock, and great morale. Manpower is low, but it comes close to making up for this with quality troops.

#6 Spartan League- after having fought a long string of wars, lost a cot and a refinery, spent tons of money and increased inflation to 16 before it fell during a session of ai, Sparta is no more than a mediocre power. It was once one of the 3 big economic nations, but has slid into decline, still holds third highest income but not by much. Its powerful navy helps secure the defense of the Med, while its good dp settings give it an edge in land wars. Manpower is decent as well, so once it gets LT 26, it'll be able to hold its own in any 1v1.

#5 Cossacks- highest manpower, fourth highest income, inexpensive troops, great defensive depth are huge strengths for the Cossacks, but it's plagued by high tech costs and low morale, which prevent it from competing as well with the modern armies of the Huns or Norway. In a war of attrition it has the advantage, but the quality of its troops don't quite pack enough punch to be decisive.

#4 Huns- 2nd highest MP tied with Leon, good income, and decent morale. Huns don't really have any weaknesses in particular, but their central position leaves them vulnerable to many enemies. Inflation and lower tech are also a weakness for the Huns, though not too debilitating.

#3 Normandy- Highest income allow it to have the strongest modern fleet in the world. Morale is not bad either because of its high quality troops, however this comes at a high cost in MP, leaving Normandy with one of the lowest max MP pools. With mercenaries this can be compensated somewhat, but the weakness always leaves it at risk against neighboring land nations.

#2 Leon- Very close to #1, having good morale, 2nd highest MP, inexpensive troops, a strong navy, excellent tech, the most manufacturies, and respectable income. It's main weakness is that its holdings are spread out across the sea, so it needs to maintain a strong fleet to protect the empire. Ships are very expensive for Leon though, and will become only more so as galleys become obsolete, so Leon must fork out a lot of cash to keep up here.

#1 Norway- All around it's very well off- good MP, great income, ability to have a modern fleet without paying too much relatively, good tech, and decent morale. Morale is probably still Norway's greatest weakness, being naval and somewhat quantity oriented. Still, it makes up for this with sheer numbers.
