So, between bugfixes still needed and many good suggestions for future features and improvements floating around out there this might seem a minor issue. But there is something that has always bugged me ever since enclaves were added with the Leviathans DLC:

If you encounter an alien space ship, space station or space monster for the first time you get that event window saying: "OMG alien ships flying through space!". Then, when the special project is researched and first contact is made there is another window saying: "First contact made! Strange looking aliens! They're on TV!" (I'm not quoting that right, obviously). Space monsters have their own special event chains. So far so good.

But if the first alien form of life ever encountered by your civilization happens to live in an enclave, you get a button that says: "Well met..." In this special case, nobody seems to care that there is a huge space station full of strange alien creatures that want to sell you stuff sitting like three hyperlane jumps away. You just nod and say "Hi, wazzup" and move on to really sensational news.

Kind of an immersion breaker don't you think? I mean, it's basically just a missing event window. Am I the only one bugged by this? :D Tbh I feel like the whole first contact business could be a little more fleshed out. I would like for example if the 2-3 first contact messages you can send depending on your ethics would actually have an impact on diplomatic relations.

The whole first contact thing feel a bit lacking if I must be honest.
The thing you said plus the fact that greeting with "Hi friend" and "Die xeno scum" are interchangables and do not have any influence on the game (skiping the greeting altogether is the same).

I imagine that those changes could be part of a diplomatic rework in an upcoming expansion (probably the next seeing how diplomacy is right now, bugs apart, the most lacking part of stellaris).
