Have the devs said anything about how long and well established dynasties will be handled in terms of renown, splendor, and dynastic legacies?
By 1066, dynasties like Robertian /Capetian, Fairhair/Yngling, ans Jimenez were already very well established. Also by that year, dynasties like Wessex and Carolingian were well past their zenith. By September 1066, there’s only one male member left living of the House of Wessex (doubtful he’ll even be playable in CK3 vanilla). Will these dynasties start off with a blank slate and at the bottom in terms of splendor and dynastic legacies like the Habsburgs, a dynasty just getting started relatively?
Is there some advantage to playing an old dynasty or would that be too OP to give the House of Wessex, for example, a whole dynastic legacy completed by 1066?
There were prescripted bloodlines in CK2 for historical dynasties.
