I'm speculating. I imagine it's got a strategy element, and a high level of polish (unlike some of the speculation here that talks about some cheap mobile game).
Looking at Romero Games, I expect they will produce a high quality product. They've got a small team for sure but serious experience. John Romero and Brenda Romero are titans in the industry, their own achievements have given them walls of awards and buckets of respect. Romero Game's team seems to have been carefully made up of folks who have worked on and delivered a bunch of AAA titles in their own careers, though maybe yet with Romero Games - they have released smaller projects so far that I would expect have helped them to get their workflows and pipelines in place for a larger game.
I'm hyped for a game that's going to be good, no matter what shape or form it takes, because I trust the folks making it to do the best they can. They've done it before. They'll do it again.
Full disclosure, I live in Galway and I'm probably biased towards their success!
