So, in both cases here we have a Pope and a king of France who are both Arabs, catholics, and clearly of Irish origin. You will also notice that the pope controls MECCA! This guys share a paternal great grandfather who inherited the kingdom of France through his mother who has the kings only surviving child. The great-grandfather ruled some territory in ibera as an free duchy so that explains the arab culture, but not how the O'Brien's got their originally. I can't explain the pope ruling Mecca though, the fatimids imploted under a ruler with terrible qualities.

I am playing as the kingdom of Scotland, regrettably i had to submit the English so i guess i am just an English vassal now. The year is 1310, started playing in 1066. I only mildly cheated to prevent my line from dying out.

first you need a place to host your pictures. I use photobucket.com. Works decently and is free to boot.

Once you got that and uploaded your pictures its a simple task of copy and pasting the correct link from the three given. Which would be the one with the brackets around it. And then posting it here.

Though I suggest you upload files as .jpgs. If the file is to big it will be resized automatically. Plus it can take a little while to upload if you don't.

LOL yeah Arabs get everywhere. Back when there was the bug Arab Muslims became popes! My current game has and Arabic de Normandie at England except England ony had one county that was Arabic which they had lost. Small odds but 5 Arabic siblings.

What's most shocking to me about your screenie is that the papal states is HUGE.

Having an arab catholic pope is one thing, what I find interesting is the fact that he rules Mecca and Medina. I recon the crusades were quite successful in that game of yours, ic0n0?

Be careful they don't start inmorting arab culture to France and Italy, that have serious historical repercussions. Arab Napoleon, anyone?

Hmmm...I was playing the de Provence family in one game, and we did have quite a few Arab family members from my Spanished posessions. I controlled Corsica, too, so...an Arab Napoleon might well have lurked in the future.

Its mostly the result of the mongols, the muslum states have been hit hard. Much of the land conqured lands have since been taken by the mongols. I just have to wait it out until the reinforements stop.

For the most part the christian kingdoms in the holy land haven't lasted very long and the ones that have remained are very fractured and easily conqured. Once the arabs get back on their feet it should be an easy target.
