Ok so I was just involved in a war with my most powerful vassal, and she eventually surrendered and was imprisoned. Time to revoke some titles. The only problem is, she has two duchess titles, Skane (Three or so counties right next to Denmark) and Lithuane (one country over in the land of too-far-to-give-a-crap). However, whenever I try to revoke the Duchy of Skane, all of the counties I should be getting immediately switch to being ruled under the county of Lithuane, and vice-versa. Now I'm not going to submit the obvious complaint that I should be able to revoke all titles after she rebelled, but surely she shouldn't be able to keep all of her lands after forcing me into a very expensive and time-consuming war just because she happens to have some piddly piece of doo-doo land in Eastern Europe. Is this a bug or just an extremely unfair and obnoxious loophole, and in any case, how should I proceed?

yes, but she will respect the ten year truce. It's always good if a rebellious bloke holding lots of titles is a heretic or infidel, though... you're free to revoke everything then - except that you, too have to respect the truce, and can't revoke more than one title at a time if you just won a war...

Keep her in jail during truce and have Chancellor fab claim on the counties. after you have personal Claims on all 3 counties. You can let her out to rebel again or revoke the other titles while she is in jail.....your choice. You need claims to be able to revoke titles without tyranny when at peace. And if she dies you can provoke her heir and repeat process.

When i have a too powerful vassal (dukes most of the time) i look if i can revoke a county by plot (it has to be owned by the vassal and must lay not in his titles de jure).
I push the plot and hopefully he rebels, release him prior out of prison if necessary. By winning the war you get the county and since he revolted, i can revoke another title for free.

This.

I use another trick, too. You know, when the "rightful imprisonment" icon pops out, usually when person's (in this case vassal's) plot is revealed? It has to be a murder plot or other traitorous plot (plot to fabricate a claim to a title). It is meant that you can imprison that vassal now freely, but not revoke a title.

I DON'T place my marshal in the vassal's county (or where he or she is) to boost the imprisonment chance as usual, but actually HOPE he or she rebels (the war against tyranny of...). Win the war, revoke a title. This much more convenient than waiting a dangerous faction to form and rebel. No tyranny because the imprisonment try was rightful.

Why is it exactly that we're only able to revoke one of the titles from a vassal that has rebelled? It's kind of annoying that they still get to keep land since after revoking the title you have a vassal that hates your guts.

I don't like this either. I think the player should be allowed to revoke with penalties after their first freebie because what is the point of trace? She is in imprison and can't do anything anyways.

If you can take the tiranny hit just banish her... all titles (and money) revoked. :)

Off hand that would be about -50 (maybe worse, could be -70), which is pretty much watch the factions & plots blossom territory.

From memory (barring minimal crown authority), you may cheerily revoke at -20 to every vassal. Its to reflect them being unhappy that they potentially could lose their entire inheritances just because a small policy disagreement got a bit heated.
