Weird_prod-taxes_-_tolls.jpg

Hmmm, I should have cut that while band... :eek:o

Look at the incomes : 28d and 30d. Base taxes are identical, pops are in the same range, goods are identical, no manus, TC+CJ+gov everywhere.
Yet, production taxes and tolls are different.
Guadeloupe and Barbados have 11.7d production and 8.8d tolls, while Martinique and Tobago & Trinidad have 10.8d production and 8.0d tolls.

I first said myself, when I saw the difference (by chance, because once colonies are finished I don't look at them in details anymore), that populations where not the same. But they're in less than 100 inhabitants separated. Moreover, the two most populated provinces are... the poorer Martinique and T&T.

Guys, do you have an idea, or did I stumble on another bug ?

What kind of pirate activity is going on around? That can impact trade taxes, I don't recall if it also affects production income, but it might.
Well, it's the second thing I checked  : no pirate activity. I have sentry ships in all contiguous sea-zones (and in fact, all those provinces share the same sea-zone).

Whatever it is, it's definitely systematic.

A rounding error perhaps?

Update : Barbados is gone over 1200 pop. Income has decreased to 28d.
Only difference is that tolls are now 8.2d or 9.0d, but all the rest is the same.

So, apparently, production and tolls go down when pops go up.

Martinique is now at 1284 pops, I'll see what will happen at 1300.

Can't be that, they are very close to each other. I've noticed the same thing also before, and they were also sugar producing provinces. Does it happen on other goods than sugar?

Checked all other provinces, looking at tolls (which is the same for all provinces, whatever the goods).

For all the colonial cities (range 1000-4999), nearly all provinces are at 8.2d.
Exception : all colonial cities in the 1100-1200 (or 1101-1199, that I don't know) are at ... 9.0d.

Hmmm, DSYoungEsq (if you come along, I bet you'll do), did you see such a problem when you conducted your tests on the population modifiers ?

Tested on 1.08 November beta
Confirmed on 1100-1199.999
checked by editing savefile.
Must be a bug.
Most likely caused by enlarging minimum city size (ideally fits idea if colony become city at 1200)

BTW, I've started a thread in the Bug Reporting Forum, since it appears that it's a possible bug.
