Weird events

Russia diplo-annexing Denmark at around 1530.

Has happened in most of my games. This one ought to get all the swedes though...Me annexing Sweden (and Russia with her Danish provinces) as France

Also seen Algiers annex the papal states (Mosques in Rome, now theres a funny image) and Naples.

China annexing Portugal...

Last night playing as Sweden, my only European landwinnings (except for annexing Denmark) was Malta and Albania.

NEWSFLASH

OK here is a new one, just started another IGC as Holland, it's 1501 now and I have already taken Flandres & Zeeland from the Spaniards... It was however a war in southern Europe that caught my eye. As usual Venice DoW'ed Ragusa, but this time Ragusa stood up and won the war. They gained Illyria from Venice!!! Never saw that happen

Yeah I was kinda surprised too.... I had to see it first before I believed it. But it's already 1540 now and Ragusa is now a part of Greater Turkey

Yes, I would imagine they are-despite the insistence of "the mighty BiB" on another thread that this must be a rare occurrence when I mentioned it happening to me in an IGC-twice!

The never appearing of New Spain in any of my games makes it a quite rare event IMMO

I have seen Milan annex France. The game crashed when I tried to save it, and before I screenshotted it. Milan had survived several wars with France, annexing Savoy and then some of southeastern France. I, as Spain, had taken southwest France. France DOW'd me when I had no troops in Europe. None! I built an army and succeeded in destroying France's. Meanwhile Milan had been beating down on France with the help of England. Engand took some northern coastal provinces. I took some Southern France provinces. Milan fights on for six years, then annexes France. It was beautiful. Of course, I annexed them in about 20 years, but that is another story.
