Weird events

Use this thread to talk about any unusual events that happened in one of your games. Here are a few examples from some of my games.

1 TO annexes P-L, but ends up losing most of it to Russia, Austria, and a few German states.

2 When the Dutch break away, they end up facing no resistance from Spain. After taking all of the lowlands, they build a fleet and land an army in Spain. They end up taking Madrid.

3 England and France fight several wars of mutual destruction. Irish end up controlling most of the British isles, while France is partitioned between Dutch, Brittany, Savoy, and Lorraine.

4 Finally, little Baden ends up somehow unifying Germany and then proceeding to conquer most of Europe.

This kind of thread has been done sooooooo many times, but okay, here goes

* Ethiopia diplo-annexing Georgia after having gained some provinces in the region
* Hedjaz Orenburg
* TO annexing P-L
* Papal States annexing the Netherlands
* England actually diplo-annexing Scotland
* France LOSING a war against Iroquois
* China invading Europe in a few alliance wars, taking Modena, and a few other provs there

Yesterday, for fun, I started an IGC as P-L - but I decided to do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Came back to the machine around 1650 - P-L had 2 provinces left, most of the provinces had gone to Saxony and Wurtemberg.

In my last three games, played as Holland, England and as France(AAR), I have seen three things that always has happened.

1. Moldavia takes Courland.
2. Sweden takes Romagna.
3. Denmark annexes Prussia.

Does the AI get habits??

I've seen Scotland vassalized by France.
France couldnt annex though as they had no common border.

Crimean Pskov, but that's quite a normal type (besides, since Crimea has annexed Astrakhan, taken P-L's three easternmost provinces and two-thirds of the Golden Horde Provinces during Russia's wars, that's not too surprising!)

Russia's in a bit of trouble by the wasy, since she's allied with the Crimea and Sibir, and this appears to be a stable Alliance.

Seen Scotland diplo-annexed by England.

Seen Ireland Diplo-Annexed by France.

So what? (shrug)

Seen a Pagan New Spain though, in the IGC.

Oh, and Protestant Ireland.

Spain uniting Italy by diplo-annexation (most enjoyable, as I had this lovely CB on Spain!)

New Spain is pagan in all my games.

They have gone indy in my last 4 IGC's, all pagan.
