Weird character switch glitch

So I'm playing an ironman game, 769 start, started as Charlemagne and now I'm on his grandson. I quit for the night last night, then I come back to the game today and for some reason it loads me in as my wife, the empress of Byzantium (obviously of a different dynasty). Since it's ironman I can't switch characters, but the game is basically over as soon as she dies (I guess I'll be some duke in Greece). Well screw you too Paradox and all your weird ass glitches... ( can post a screenshot if it's wanted, but it's nothing special looking, I just load in as my wife instead of me)

edit: OK, so I closed the game, went back in, reloaded the save, and now as my vassal king of Bavaria. wtf, I guess I'll keep trying until I get back on my character.

edit 2: OK, so after some trials I discovered that I become the count of a province I click on while I load, so I just clicked on my capital while the game loaded, and I got back to my character... because ironman.

There is a known bug with Ironman where you can become another character by having played a previous Ironman save but that issue has been fixed internaly. I can't however reproduce your bug... can you tell me step by step what you are doing in order to get this (which would make me a very happy cookie).

I get the same bug - I just got switched from the Empire of Mordva to the Kingdom of Pannonia by clicking the capital county of Pannonia during loading; I switched back by loading one of the historical set-ups, selecting the High Chief of Mordva, loading the save game, and repeatedly clicking on Mordva during loading.

I can switch characters by

1. Make Ironman game
1. Go to custom game after saving & exiting
2. Click on a ruler other than my own at the start date I picked
3. Load the ironman save from above the start date selection menu
4. Should change from your selected dynasty to the new one.

It happened to me too. Trying to load an ironman save as the Sheikh of Porto, it made me the King of Bavaria.

To solve it I followed Vintage Zombie's advice, went to start new custom game and selected the Sheikh then loaded my ironman from there.

Yeah, I guess I was tired when posting previous post. This is now fixed in our internal build and it should be out a future patch. Cheers for taking your time to clarify stuff!
