Alas, I don’t think @Alfred Packer is tuned in to the forums at present. I did PM him separately when I made the nomination but his profile still says ‘last seen on 9 June’ so I assume he won’t have seen this Showcase shout for his AAR.

It therefore may be necessary to open this up, but I leave that decision to our Moderator(s). In the hope Alfred may happen along in the next few hours.

In fairness @Bullfilter it was always a courageous choice to nominate someone for the Weekly showcase who hadn't written, or even been present, in the previous week. ;)

Still, congratulations @Alfred Packer for when you do turn up. :)

True enough, I did think that even as I made the nomination, but was just hoping he was operating in slower-than-real-time and that a PM would draw his attention. Alas and alack! :(

Perhaps I can make amends by suggesting a new AAR that I know is active and has not yet received the accolade, though the authAAR did get the nod a little while ago for their other (CK2) AAR. So I nominate One Heart, One Soul, One Mind, One Goal: A Republic of China HPP AAR by @RustyHunter - an HOI3 AAR that is very well presented and still not so far progressed that it can’t be caught up with easily enough.

Thanks @Midnite Duke ,@Wraith11B ,@Idhrendur ,@Specialist290 , @diskoerekto , and @El Pip ! Thanks again to @Bullfilter , I really appreciate the nomination and your support. This is my first AAR, so some of the early chapters might be a little rough, but I appreciate anyone that decides to start reading, especially since I think the later chapters are much better. Feel free to ask any questions while catching up, and I'll do my best to answer without spoiling everything. The AAR is also full of random historical digressions thanks to @Wraith11B and @nuclearslurpee kindly sharing their knowledge, so it's a lot of fun and almost guaranteed to be educational!

Thanks @The Number 9 and @TheButterflyComposer ! Thanks again to everyone from before, and Bullfilter. I really appreciate the comments and support for my work.

I've decided to pass this on to @Flinteroon and his new AAR, After the Fall - A Byzantine Restoration AAR. This is a fairly new work, but the prologue has been excellently written and provides a nice twist on the usual progression of AARs. The prologue covers a series of unfortunate events that have led the Byzantine Empire to collapse, and it's all written in a believable way. I highly recommend following along, this is certain to continue to be interesting, especially as Flinteroon attempts to build back up.
