You could hardly be surprised when after all those years of being tagged team by the Horde/German crew that Muscowy jumped all over the Horde when we had the chance. Hard to believe that I recently offered the Great Khan 3 provinces for a NAP

Hardly can compare GH/Germany to Moscovy and Byzantium.

It took me Sacking Moscovy and stabbing her the 2nd time prevent from getting GH annexed. Still I think you managed to take some provinces off her.
But Germany made a deal or two to prevent her slow and inevitable planned Russian turboannexation of GH. BY this point Scotland was involved, and for 3-4 wars they have been ganging over here. A True Gang and we know Dave what a true gang is <GH never was in stabhitting shape all game>

I'd call it more like Germany saving the Little Guy

Drew, check the FAQ. At 50% maintenance, the base 6 (from technology) is modified to 5. It doesn't show it in the game, but you can see a distinct difference in morale between 50 and 100 maintenance. Also as Russia in ToT3, I was able to get the cap of morale at 75% maintenance I tried it. After 75%, morale wouldn't go any higher.

weird, what figure counts then in the morale box. Hover your mouse over your Morale and see the figures that drop down.

And my Teutonic Friend, you know the reason why the gang bang in the West happened. It was due to a massive failure of German diplomacy (ie P/Oing all your neighbours) so you shouldn't be too surprised when they gather together with torches and pitchforks and storm the castle .

No I didn't say 2-1 against Mosoovy was Alright. Link to these stats and take a look at 1554... You'll see clearly Dave GH has 39 Manpower I have 41.3 and you have 117. I'll assume this is admist War still....Meanwhile I make 88 ducats a month and GH makes 13 ducats a month. I'll assume GH was more like 40 regularly and you were 137. Given the adjustments what do you think that is wrong in the above picture? I think that after you have taken 3 European CoTs other people with ansy. And you first DOWed the Golden Horde
and look what you've done to it now. So it was not your original intention to cut it down to a Minor??? As it is what we would call a Minor..

And what has happened to me in the West I brought upon myself, but don't try to compare the two You haven't faced 1/4th the amount of Pressure I have this Game in War. If I wanted to when I had sacked your Capitol after your first GangBang on me With Scotland/Flanders and Leon I could've demanded 5-6 Provinces in 1 shot like you've done with your Allies to me 4 Xs

The whole War with GH, I virtually gave you freebies.. You got off so easy it's why you're still around so in part you owe your existence to my soft nature and belief in the need to still have a Russia as a Power. It's my choice not to let Germany/Moscovy Rule this game from an early stage..

Byz is a lot more experienced than Bukhara. You're far more experienced than GH... And how're you going to explain your involvement in the next gangbang on me so hush about rightousness you're way off mark

It was never Buk & GH versus Byz. I fought with Leon repeatedly during that war including in the far east where I also faced off against some smallish Scottish forces and navy.

I don't know why you bought the line that it was a war against Byz when it wasn't. I was facing off against everyone else but Moscowy.

It's weird I know, but it doesn't show in game. It's best to look in the morale FAQ. 50% maintenance and 100% maintenance isn't always .5 morale. For example in early techs it is only .35 morale difference. In the latest techs it's 1 or 1.5 morale difference afaik.

I didn't really want to face off against Scotland either but I thought it might help Germany a little bit though I am not sure why I thought that at the time since I think you only sent your navy to smash my transport fleet. The Bukhara navy is just not up to snuff Bit off way too many colonies than I could ever handle and it seemed like I got a rather late start on the whole colonizing thing :-(

Also it's tough fighting wars when to build 25k troops you have to click on 3 provinces plus the amazing German leader pool.
Anyway those are my excuses
I took it easy on the Horde early on and paid for it. Only now have I reduced it to a Moscow-friendly size after it's constant invasions and my attempts at peace.
As for the rest of the stuff, the jumping in at favourable times, the alleged gangbangs, missed peace opportunities, it's part of the game. We've all made mistakes and been soft so complaining about the unfairness of it is pointless.

I (We?) have had a great time playing this game. As I said before in the other thread this has been the best EU game I've played My heart is not really into an historical game nowadays so I'm not sure what I'll do with the next one.

... Oh, Jenn just informed me that I have to kinder-sit until 6:00pm PST on Wed so I won't be able to start playing until 9:00ish, unless I can get our little monkey to nap or watch a Baby Einstein video

Gangbanging is a gamebalancer. I think that some saw that Germany was getting too big, including you and did just what I did with you. That was what that was about Now if there was 3-4 Nations with Navy Tech instead 1 or 2, we'd have some more competition overseas which is hurting our game IMO<one thing about the historical scenarios you see more of> plus leaders that live longer than 5 or 10 years! So is historical worse, not sure.. it leaves a large room for "style-oriented" players. While it benefits me and you, Heavy Land Expanionists...I've been learning this Naval-Trade-Colonization part pretty good lately though

Oh man that sucks.

1812 comes, and host crahses about 5 times on different ends of months. Same problem which killed ToT2.

Great game though everyone. Been lots of fun. Interesting session apart of course from the 15 stabhits because of my allies. And... Scotland finally reached 1000d this session.
