i think Paradox needs to add in a little bit about their weather thing, such as adding a "weather forecast" to help predict what's gonna happen instead of doing guessworks , asking in forums when the winter comes... there needs more elaboration

of course, weather forecasts are usually inaccurate, and i also want more things unexpected ... yea, such as a heavy rain coming out of nowhere stalling your offensive. :D

I don't think the weather forecasts in the 40s could have been all that accurate. But it would be cool if the weather is done as a world wide realistic weather system. Instead of just random rain popping up you have clouds moving around. Then you can just kind of predict for yourself. Would be worth the effort imo if weather modifiers become a bigger (and more realistic) factor. Especially for air combat.

BTW was anyone else annoyed by the obviously faked bad weather that starts directly on the Soviet border? Rest of Europe can be bone dry with rain and mud starting directly on the border.

Weather was significant factor. Winter in Russia. Fog in Ardennes. Weather on British Channel - for invasion.
HeartsOfIron3: So.. attrition is now affected by extreme temperature or windspeed. Should make warfare in africa and russian winter more interesting..

I think they know what they are doing. The only thing is the weather forecast but I think that at that time the methods were not advanced enough to give good results (although during the war it became better).

Actually, it's kinda strange but I remember hearing a story about American Marines taking Greenland from German forces. It was basically a situation of them walking up to the outpost and asking them to surrender. Since it was like 100 to 6 odds.

They were there because air currents past greenland helped to predict weather patterns in Europe or something.

So there is a historical precedent if my mind didn't just make all that up. I swear I saw it on TV somewhere though.

Is that the movie?
