As seen in DevDiaries the weather in HOI4 will look swell.
From the info given on supply issues, combat and attrition modifiers weather will also be more important for in-game decisions than in any previous HOI games.
So, some questions about it:
1. Will it be random or will it simulate the actual weather as happened in RL?
1a. It it will be randomized (as I hope) will it change between for each new game - i.e. will the (though-up example) a 3rd Jan 1943 always be cold and sunny in Kielce or will it be as unpredictable as a real weather? It can be a bit of an exploit for a human player to always know that 06.06.1944 is a good weather day for the Channel.
2. If weather will be randomized will there be "severity of season" differences/chances? For example in real life the winter of 1941/42 in western USSR was actually unusually severe even by Russian standards. A more statistically "normal" winter season might have resulted in even bigger German victories. Equally an extra-wet or extra-dry rain season in Pacific can change the outcome of Kokoda Trail campaign.
3. Will there be a chance of ships foundering in storms?
4. Will there be chances of catastrophic weather events - such as tornadoes striking towns or fleets? Guess earthquakes should also come under this question.
