We Stand United (New)

The year 2020 would be marked by the end of the world. Much of the old nations had fallen, leaving people to rebuild the world from scratch. Many governments would rise, with various ideologies. Wars would break out between the survivors leading to great acts of violence. There would also be great acts of kindness as people selflessly helped each other rebuild, knowing that the only way they would survive is if they worked together.
Eventually the Nuclear Winter would dissipate from the world and true growth would begin. The world population quickly recovered, crop yields could now sustain populations thrice the size of the world's population, and Trade networks would spring up once again. With recovery achieved and with nations now having a stable presence, focus has shifted to their neighbors.
Quickly becoming allies or rivals with each other a new network of complicated relationships would form. Many nations believe each to be worse than the other, with threats of war even being tossed at each other. In a world such as this Humanity now stands on a knife's edge to total war.
The Democracies of the world proclaim the radicals to be the biggest threats to world peace instigating revolutions and causing instability. They believe that if the radicals continue to exist the whole world will plunge into darkness.
Communes say that governmental establishments are the biggest threat to world peace, calling out the pre-existing nations that focused on powerful governments that caused the Nuclear Hell to begin with. They argue the only way there can be peace is if the people crush the establishment and break the chains of oppression.
Some say that both of these ideologies are flawed, believing the reason for the total destruction of humanity to come from degeneracy. Radicals, and even Democratic establishments could not bring peace to humanity even after the nuclear war because Humanity needs a strong government to guide them.
Some even argue that the reason humanity failed is due to them straying from God, with them believing the conflict was god's way of resetting the world. A sign of his righteous punishment.
While everyone might be right in their own way, this active and open hostility could very well cause another great war, one to dwarf all others. Many are militarizing, stockpiling food, and stoking the fires of industry to churn out industrial war machines. Many are trying to keep the peace between each other, however many either ignore these attempts or actively discourage them. In the coming years, however these nations decide to deal with each other will define humanity for centuries to come.
