Ok I got the nation just right, did all the test runs.
Here is some screenshots first is the UTA itself. I made it a moral democracy because it shows the value of the organization, i.e. keeping the peace. But as time goes on things will change, i have the Realistic Ethics attraction mod on along with Glavius AI mod so things could get interesting.
20190609132743_1.jpg

I gave a lot of negative traits to reflect the messed up DNA of humans on a radioactive world. Another thing I plan on doing is adding "personality" traits to various nations here is the list:
The Citizen Republic of South America: Democratic Crusaders

The West Coast Commune: Federation Builders

The North American New Republic: Peaceful Traders

Serene Republic of Deseret: Spiritual Seekers

Union of Ajam: Federation Builders

United States of Mexico: Erudite Explorers

Zapatista Free Territories: Honor-bound Warriors

Caribbean Commune: Peaceful Traders

Socialist Cities of the rust-belt: Harmonious Collective

Mediterranean Commonwealth: Hegemonic Imperialists

Pan African Coalition: Federation Builders

United States of Polynesia: Peaceful Traders

Japan: Erudite Explorers

Siberian Union: Harmonious Collective

Commonwealth of Island Nations: Democratic Crusaders

Free Territories of India: Erudite Explorers

Republic of China: Peaceful Traders

Basically how its going to work is whoever is in charge of the UTA at the time will act more like their "Personality", but there is more to it. If the UTA were to become unstable maybe whoever is in-charge could give the UTA the right push towards a certain government...

Other than that I have been behind because of some life stuff but I should have everything ready to go. I should have a story update posted soon and I'll make sure to post regularly, atleast a story update and maybe a supplementary thing or behind the scenes thing, idk whatever im feeling like sharing!

Chapter 1: A New Age
african-union-hi.jpg
Mwungambe Adembe watched the celebration of the crowd from his office. This was almost one hundred years in the making, finally achieved. He looked at his desk and saw the flag of the Pan-African Federation. He looked at the Holographic name on his desk: Mwungambe Adembe President of Africa. He wondered how proud his father would be of him now. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

Without looking away from the flag he spoke. “Come in.”

His advisor came in. “President Adembe, I trust your settling in nicely?” He said.

“Nicely yes. I am just enjoying this wonderfully woven flag.” he stared deeply into the fabric and could instantly tell it was handcrafted, too rough to be made by a machine like most things nowadays.

“Ahh yes, the PAF flag. This one was handcrafted, its old too almost as old as the Union of Territories.” The Advisor explained.

“Really? Your telling me this was one of the first flags?” Adembe said in shock.

“Yes quite remarkable is it not?”

“Yes it is… oh but i'm sorry for getting lost, did you want to speak to me about something?” He said.

“Oh yes, I just was here to inform you about some of the news going around, and just to get you caught up.”

“Yes, thank you. I am very interested to hear about what's been going on lately, I've been so busy with the election that I've completely ignored whats been happening in the world.”

“Yes, well good news is the worlds peaceful, nothing out of the ordinary outside of grumblings and minor news outlets inflating the news as per usual. I suppose they have to make a revenue somehow.” He shrugged and let out a sigh. “Other than that a couple of important things happened in the Union of Territories Accord.”

“Oh?” Adembe said intrigued.

“They passed laws on Administrative General terms. The Administrative General and Speaker of the House now run for a total of Ten years with two term limits.”

“My, that's a major shift. Any idea why they did that?” Adembe said.

“The Proposal came from the Europeans, they said that the Union needs stronger leadership they mentioned things like the great depression of the 30’s and the Siam Crisis. At first everyone was opposed until Ajam offered a compromise and added limits to the proposal for an A-G. The laws are to come into effect during the next term.” He explained.

“Who won the elections for Administrative General anyway?” Adembe asked.

“Adesimbo Adeola, She's been in the Union politics for quite a while now so I have good faith in her and her abilities. Other than that another major thing is going on.”

“Oh?” Adembe said.

“A Mexican funded Expedition. They plan on sending a survey team to the nearby star system Alpha Centauri I think? Its using the new Quantum Entanglement Drive, so they estimate the trip should take somewhere between three to four months.”

Adembe sat back in astonishment. “When does the expedition begin?” He asked.

“1st of January, supposed to be a mark of a new century as the Mexican space agency said.”

“Quite a clever date.” Adembe said laughing. “This truly is the turn of the century. I have been told that there are planets we can live on in Alpha Centauri yes?” Adembe said.

“Yes, it's been making waves in the public every social media around the world is talking about it. Some comedians have even been joking about it, one I like to listen to jokingly said ‘Great we can ruin more worlds now.’”

They both laughed a bit at the joke.

“Either way it will be a truly major moment, The MSA told the public the international team will record the arrival. It won't be exact though as they will have to relay probes back and forth carrying the footage. The distance is too great for live footage.”

“I see. Well, when the footage comes in please let me know immediately I would very much like to see this.” He said.

“Yes sir. Is there anything special you need me to do?” the advisor asked.

“Not really, just make sure I don't get harassed too much by the press and such, I still have to settle into my new office. This has all been quite a day.”

“Yes sir I understand completely.” He said.

The Advisor left the room leaving Mwungambe Adembe in the room alone. He sat back down at his desk and leaned back smiling. He took in a deep breath and said to himself “Things truly are good.”

The Best of Times, The Worst of Times
2200-2250

20190606061104_1.jpg

On March 5th the UTNS Copernicus would arrive in Alpha Centauri, the first manned Exploratory vessel to leave the Sol System. This was the beginning of a new age, as the ship explored the stars more secrets and possibilities opened up. The discovery of nominally habitable planets had led to a resurgence of Colonialist Fever and with the backing of Adesimbo Adeola a major expansionist push into space began in Earnest.

The Union Space Agency would design a Colony ship designed to house thousands of passengers for a safe voyage to the Exoplanet Alpha Centauri III, and after an uneventful voyage would arrive in Alpha Centauri III’s orbit. Soon after it would touch down and the colonists would call their new colony San Fernando, this first colony only heightened Expansionism with more stations built around resources and more stars charted than ever before.

The UTA economy was now hitting record heights, even surpassing the great economic boon of 2120’s. As time went on this economy would only strengthen. The Soaring economy would lead to the formation of a Universal currency, a once controversial plan it was agreed that passing such a proposal would grant an increased wealth for all nations, as the A-G Adesimbo Adeola had phrased it “Once we are united, we shall prosper.” The proposal passed with a decent majority. Soon poor and struggling nations would be picked up by a universal economy, corporations were unable to skirt local economic rights of various nations that lagged behind to the Unification of the economy were now at a parity with even the most advanced nation on Earth.

With the passing of the proposal a new movement of political parties would emerge. the first political Coalition to pop up would be the Progressive Coalition, a Unity of all Socially Liberal ideals anything from a moderate leftist to a radical anarchist would find a unity under the coalition and able to strengthen their votes together. The founding of the Progressive Coalition would lead to the founding of the Market Coalition a Coalition of all Market minded ideals such as Market Liberal, Libertarian, and more. The Leader of the Progressive Coalition would be Chloe Rèmy a citizen of the CRoSA whose parents immigrated from the European Commonwealth, Chloe had been a large spoken advocate for Socially Liberal Programs and being the Speaker of the House in the U.T.A. she would push for many Social programs such as the strengthening of the U.E.C. and giving them Trust busting powers.

In opposition to these movements would be the new A-G of the UTA Gavril Lunchev, born in the Siberian Union he would be among the families that helped rebuild the Siberian Union and helping it become a premier voice in the world. While his parties strength was on average weaker than the Progressive Coalition due to the Communist and Anarchist elements that flocked to the party, the Market Coalition none-the-less solidified a future of political parties and coalitions.

Soon a extra-terrestrial vessel would be discovered in UTA Space. First contact protocols were followed to the letter with both sides briefly exchanging the most popular language on both Planets, for the U.T.A. It would be Chinese, and for the alien empire they would blurt a surprisingly familiar language. When deciphered it was shown that the language had many similarities to Byzantine Era greek, and soon contact with the Sanctus Imperium Aunen was established. The Sanctus Imperium Aunen were not too dissimilar to a stellar empire, but instead of fighting for territory or glory it would fight for the Holy Mother. Due to the discovery of this alien empire a new council was established called the Union Xeno-biology Council, responsible for both deciphering foreign languages and studying aliens in any way such as their society, psychology and more.

Unfortunately the S.I.A. would become highly aggressive towards the UTA due to what they referred to as “A life of Apostasy”. Many overtures were made to the Aunen but all were denied. Shortly after discovering the SIA more alien empire would be discovered all around the U.T.A. Each of these alien empires seemed increasingly hostile towards the U.T.A. and members of the U.T.A. Peacekeeper Council voiced concerns at a possible attack. Although not taken entirely seriously the 1st Fleet would be reinforced with a fleet of 20 Cobra Class Corvettes not due out of military action but due to a surplus of Alloys.

As the years stretched on many colonies grew into their own, San Fernando would be seen as a cultural capital of the U.T.A. a beacon to the achievements possible by Humanity. Despite all the good times the U.T.A. had been asking themselves many questions revolving around the possibility of a continued peaceful existence. This question would be answered when on 2243 May 27th a two pronged invasion would be detected by various merchant vessels and ships. U.T.A. Leadership scrambled to deal with the situation and would send in the First Fleet to stop the offensive.
20190716162121_1.jpg

The Qqalaanese Alliance would be the first in UTA Territory and on the opposite of the Nation, the UTA would push to deal with the attack only for the S.I.A. to push north. The Fleet Admiral of the 1st Fleet Nurbakyt Nazarbayev deemed the defense of Earth more important than the defense of the Outer Colonies and would break pursuit of the Qqalaanese offensive to deal with the Sanctus invasion. The first battles against the Aunen would end in disaster as the 1st Fleet only dealt superficial blows to the Aunen fleet.

A-G Chloe Rèmy pushed for the militarization of the U.T.A. Economy, a decision that has been seen as highly controversial and only passed by a slim margin would see the U.T.A. Push all resources towards the military in an effort to survive the invasion. The Union Xeno-Biology Council once looking for ways to better cooperate with aliens were now looking how to kill them more efficiently. Soon U.T.A. would find the weakness of the Aunen Fleet and would deliver a decisive blow at the battle of Barnard’s Star. Soon the Peacekeeper fleet would completely take back all territory from the Aunen and would reinforce the only star base that led into SIA territory and thus creating a choke point. Around this time due to the strain of a war the UTA Economy had began to crumble, the UTA only barely able to keep the economy afloat for the remaining years of the war.

The UTA made a quick lightening campaign to take back UTA territory from the Qqualaanese and would win another decisive victory at the Battle of Grunthirst, after the battle the U.T.A. would, with the S.I.A. and the Q.A. the treaty of Sol, a Status Quo peace. This battle had been a major shock for the two empires and an embarrassment, the pacifist nation had been able to halt the invasion of two militaristic nations. While they saw this as an embarrassment, a wave of two movements would arise around this time, Pacifists and Nationalists. This war had broken the U.T.A. economy and had caused widespread famines that killed many on various worlds. Earth quickly had a resurgence of crime in the wake of the economic collapse and Earth was quickly referred to as “Slum Planet” by many colonists.

This war had caused Chloe Rèmy, a politician who earlier her term was slated to become the best Administrative-General in history, had overnight had her career ruined and name relegated to an insult. The U.T.A. is now on the slow road to not only recovery, but to ensuring that such an event doesn't happen again. The U.T.A. might have survived the war through the grit of its teeth, but now only time will tell if it will survive its aftermath.

Sorry for the absence, the reason for me being so quiet. I had a writing laptop's charger get chewed by my dogs, this mixed with other life issues caused a complete lack of motivation in me, after I got the charger back (after working a month to get the money for it) I slowly started it back again, I should get back to a more standard upload schedule. I apologize deeply for the hiatus !

The Coming Collapse: The Economic collapse of 2249
By: Kama hele Keli'i
Published: 2230, March 5th

The Economic collapse of 2259 during the Qqaalanese Invasion was one of the worst in Human history. Multiple colonies would suffer from starvation, massive sweeping power outages, and critical resource shortages along with a massive spike in consumer goods are just one of the many problems that plagued the Union of Territories Accord during this time. World-wide many blamed the Administrative-General Chloe Remy for the economic collapse and had been ridiculed so fiercely that many believed the heart attack she would suffer from came as a result of this. Many of my colleagues have also fallen into this pitfall believing that Chloe Remy is the reason the Economy collapsed, however when one looks at the facts you see a different story emerge.

The early expansion age, a time where we expanded in a rather rapid rate and found ourselves in charge of countless amounts of stars. Among this time Adesimbo Adeola would lay down a plan for a massive economic growth dubbed “The Mars plan” hoping to mimic the economic success of the earlier years of Sol exploration. She would pass multiple proposal that, would at the time expedite the colonization of exoplanets, but would ultimately lead to long term issues later down the line.

Often times the Mars plan would include loans where people signing up to the early colonization program would be given Loans that would never exceed 5% interest rates, and would be all expenses payed. Due to this a massive boost in colonization would be seen across the U.T.A. with multiple planets colonized by 2240 and none of them capable of self sufficiency, due to many of the colonists still relying on these colonial loans.

Another issue would be the Utopic fantasy, or the lack of foresight on any coming disaster. The U.T.A. had not stockpiled any resources in the years leading up to 2240, the Union Bank Council reported a stockpile of roughly around 500 energy credits by 2240. Much of the energy credits would be spent on multiple projects and buying of resources for short term use from private companies. This extreme short sighted plan would mean that if one issue would arise then soon it would lead to a catastrophic domino effect which is what happened during the transition from a civilian economy to a military one.

The Factories that had churned out Consumer goods now were helping the UTA boost the income of military alloys, this would cause a critical lack in Consumer goods. Once consumer goods prices spiked soon citizens lacked the money to buy consumer goods and over all would lack the money to contribute to the economy. This would lead to the massive drop in Energy Credits that is still being felt almost 50 years later.

A common discussion in this field is the role Remy had in this economic collapse. Many squarely put the blame on her due to the militarization of a civilian based economy. However many have also recently begun to see a different side of the story. The neighboring empires of the Sanctus Imperium Aunen, and the Qqaalanese Alliance would invade UTA space. While never landing on a planet they would come dangerously close to Earth as was seen with the occupation of Bernard's Star.

The occupation of Bernard's star led to the trade route from Earth to a cluster in the western sector to be severed, the colonies there relying on Earth imports of Food and other important deliveries would be completely cut off, thus causing the massive famine and starvation in those areas. The reoccupation of Bernard's Star only occurred when the UTA had militarized its economy and fully geared up for war. Once the star was connected all effort was put into feeding the starving colonials.

Going back to my question of How did Remy play into the economic collapse. The Administrative-General was faced with a tough position and ultimately did what she thought was best, as many would have done in her shoe. However the situation around the economy at the time is that it was an unstable collection of Ceramic plates, when she tried to clean one off the entire pile came crashing down.

A man once said “Never attribute Maliciousness to what can easily be explained by stupidity” and while the Administrate-General was not stupid by any means, her over all stupidity of the state of the economy at the time lead to her not being able to see the possible problems that could follow as a result of the mobilization proposal.

The economic collapse of 2249 came as a result of shortsightedness, economic fragility, and an overall incompetence and stupid choices earlier down the road that only came to surface decades later. Remy, or the war did not cause the economic collapse. The Economy was bound to collapse at some point and with the war only showing just how fragile the economy was.

Recovery
2250-2300

With the harsh economic crash of 2249, and the stunning white peace the UTA managed to pull off, the UTA was left in a difficult spot. Famine and food shortages continued to plague the UTA. Earth had quickly been overwhelmed by a sudden wave of criminals and had been referred to as “Slum Central”. The new Administrative-General, Thomas Lang, failed to help recover the economy much. He would pass proposals that would increase the amount of resources produced so he could sell it once more in an attempt to pick up the economy. The biggest crisis of his Administration would be the Commune-American war, where the Internationale Coalition united under various communes would fight a small scale war against the Citizen Republic of South America.
20190725142645_1.jpg
Panicked due to the war, the General Assembly held a closed session where they voted out Thomas Lang and voted in Monaka Makanga. Monaka would immediately push for peace in the war before it escalated, even threatening to kick out the communes and the CRSA. After 3 months of fighting the two agreed to a ceasefire. Monaka would then begin work on a massive recovery plan. In a speech to the General Assembly He gave the most famous speech of his term.

“...We must be ready, ready to pick up the poor and downtrodden of our society, but also be ready to defend our way of life from all threats internally and externally. Our goal is not only to pick up the economy but to ensure that this disaster will never happen again...”

He would lay out the Makanga plan, a massive economic plan that in theory would not only recover the Union economy but also make it disaster-proof. Many economists of the time both laugh at him and praised him. Praised him for his economic recovery plans but laughed at him due to the idea of a disaster-proof economy able to exist within the next century.

She would push not only for greater colonial development but would also for the first time ever open up the borders of the Union to all refugees and Aliens wishing to join the Union. The Isolationist Coalition was heavily disgruntled by this and protests would ensue for days, but eventually this move would prove to be an important one as the massive influx of colonists and colonials to the various planets would greatly speed up the growth of these colonies, soon Worlds like San Fernando would mass produce thousands of giga-tons of Consumer goods, worlds like Salaam would mass produce agriculture that would feed the Union three times over, and the Scientific outpost of Shangri-La would greatly boost scientific understanding furthering all fields of science.

The Union also began a massive fortification effort, all nations deemed an imminent threat by the Union Peacekeeper Council would have state of the art fortress systems to deter any invasions, and if invaded, further bolster the defensive capabilities of the Peacekeeper Navy. She would also push for a greater development of the peacekeeper council, allowing for greater war-fighting flexibility and state of the art weapons and technology. Around this time the unveiling of the Battle-cruiser, and Heavy Cruiser classes would also be announced.

The Market Coalition called these actions out as a violation of the Unions very ideals. These dissenting voices would be shut down as on 2296 the Union would receive declarations of war from the Qqalaanese-Aunen alliance. This was an all out invasion that would push the Monaka plan to its limits. Monaka however would not take the reigns during this time as her term-limit had been reached, a new administrative general Yuko Yoshizaki would lead the Union during this invasion.
20190717000424_1.jpg

The Union was able to produce, fit, and ready the First Battlefleet for this very occasion. In the Second Qqaalanese-Human war the Union was ready, and had built up the Fortress Station Greensboro bordering the Union-Qqaalanese border and Los Angeles station bordering the Aunen-Union border. At the Battle of Grunthirst the Qqalaanese fleet was detected and the Union quickly beat down their fleet.

From there the Union rapidly moved to deal with the Aunen. The Union moved swiftly through space to arrive in Aunen territory and would begin occupying large swaths of the Imperium. The peacekeeper council allowed the use of the first ever Planetary Invasion army to be used in the war. The Invasion army would be used in the Battle of Aunen. The Army would end up successfully invading and occupying the Planet, but the 10 armies would lose 4 armies in the process causing massive public outcries as a result.

With the successful invasion of the Imperium the two powers unilaterally surrendered to the Union. The Union’s citizenry cheered and applauded the victory. The economy as well had held up the war and also seemed to be booming for a time. The Union had successfully pulled itself from the brink, but the need for a modernized military and better diplomacy has become a clear area of concern for the Union.

Political Debrief

Brief
This is a up-to-date debrief on the current politics for the use of anyone, such as but not limited to diplomats, leaders, layman, etc. The Internal politics of the U.T.A. is layered and sometimes complex, but it is still important to be well-versed in the structure and terminology of the government. This is all meant to explain it as best as possible, and is not a debrief on current politics (i.e. whos in charge of what and what are their roles internally).

Beginnings, history and foundation

The beginning of the U.T.A. is tumultuous to say the best, the journey of it begins with an end. The end of 21st century civilization was brought about through a brief nuclear exchange, although not all of a nation's arsenal had been launched and many defects and duds in nuclear missiles would result in the survival of Humans, albeit at a high cost. In this world many if not all old world nations collapsed, and new ones rose from the ashes. With this new set up humanity once again would begin the sparring that had defined it for centuries.

The sparring would escalate into full blown conflict which would culminate in the five years war. This war has plenty of names depending on where you go and who you ask but for the purposes of keeping it brief we are keeping it as the five years war. Around this time a politician from the Union of Ajam named Nadeera Al-Shareef would begin a major push to end hostilities and unite the world in an organisation that would see differences and arguments solved with words and not bullets.

As the war inflated eventually it would end and many agreed that peace is better than Armageddon (literally in this case. Arma-Latin for War, and Geddon-Latin for destruction. Brought together: Destruction through war, or Destruction by war.). Thus the Union of Territories Accord was born. Unlike its predecessor the UN, nations under the Union of Territories Accord are all treated equally. No one nation or territory is considered above the rest. Individuals are chosen through internal elections and are themselves chosen by their given territory.

As the years continued the organization that many doubted, had begun to work. Disputes and arguments being solved through proposals and debate, instead of troops and munitions. The U.T.A. is known for its strong idealism, believing that eventually Earth and life in general will become a Utopia. With the foundations set let us move unto the basics of the Organization.

Structure and Organization

The Union of Territories Accord is structured into the following:

The Judicial Council: Where proposals go through a process to see if they uphold the charter

The General Assembly: Where member-territories debate and discuss topics and issues, along with passing proposals

Global Co-operative Council: Where member-territories help out fellow members with various councils such as Economic, agricultural, or technological.

Administrative Council: Where the daily minutiae and tasks of the Union are carried out and dealt with.

The leaders for each council goes as follows:

Administrative-General: considered the leader of the Union due them being in charge of the Administrative Council which is the backbone of the UTA.

Speaker of the House: Head of the General Assembly, mostly keeps everyone on task and ensures a debate is civil.

Supreme Justice: The final head of the Judges, and gets the final say on proposals passed and regulates court precedents.

Council Head: Head of the Global Co-operative Council, has similar duties to the A-G but within the Global Co-operative council.

Now that the organization is squared away let us discuss the member-territories and its politics.

Member-Territories

Member-Territories are any nation, region, or territory within the U.T.A. with membership being granted based on a simple majority rule in the general assembly. There are over 100 members in the UTA with its number only growing. However with this size comes the problem of representation and how a voice is to be heard in this growing pool? The solution to this came with the birth of Coalitions. Very similar to political parties Coalitions are simply a band of nations that share common goals and interests based on internal politics and such. An example is the Progressive Coalition, a Coalition of Social Democrats, Social Liberals, etc. The Progressive coalition is considered the most popular Coalition in the UTA with half of all Administrative-Generals being apart of this Coalition. There are no real limits on the Coalitions, so long as one nation or more exists and explains the purpose of the Coalition with no overlap of pre-existing Coalitions.

Current Coalitions

Progressive Coalition.

Prominent Members: Union of Ajam, San Fernando.

Isolationist Coalition

Prominent Members: European Commonwealth

Technocratic Coalition

Prominent Members: Shangri-La, United Mexican States

Market Coalition

Prominent Members: North American New Republic, Republic of China

Xenophile Coalition

Elysium, Serene Republic of Deseret

Militarist Coalition

Prominent Members: Citizen Republic of South America, Asgard.

Internationale Coalition

Prominent Members: Salaam, Free Territories of America (formerly the free territories of Zapatista)

I hope that the end of this debrief has accurately described the politics of the UTA to you. We hope this will be of great use in helping you understand the government and life of the UTA a lot better.

I thought this would be a nice way of catching up with the story and getting set for the coming crisises. That and explaining somethings I left out like the political parties and such. the only Coalition not represented in game is the Internationale Coalition which is kinda funny to me, but I use my headcannon for it.

Internal Divides
2300-2350

20190718151101_1.jpg
First of the Superstructures from the BROKKR Project A Orbital Agricultural ring above Salaam nicknamed "Tlaloc Ring" 2335

With the end of the war the Union of Territories Accord would begin a massive program to overhaul the Union of Territories Accord Military. After the war of Aunen and the subsequent loss of 4 armies totalling almost a million personnel, a clear and major change would need to be done. The Administrative-General Yuko Yoshizaki would appoint the current head of the Union Peacekeeper Council to develop a new military doctrine for the Peacekeepers, and would be allowed a blank check to achieve this.

Immediately the Peacekeeper council focused on developing the first doctrine of warfare for the Union peacekeepers. The Union’s Navy managed to get by through joint-effort international forces independently funded by said nations, along with more advanced forces like the Invasion forces use being joint-effort Armed forces as well. However as the Union became embroiled into more and more wars it became clear that a more stable military funded and operated by the Union itself would be needed for greater flexibility in future wars.

The first field the Peacekeeper General Santiago Gonzales focused on was the Navy, realising the Navy would have to become stronger as a force, with ground forces coming second. The Navy was reorganized and would include the design of a brand new Carrier-Class ship, the Marcos named after one of the legendary founders of the Citizen Republic of South America. The Union would commission two Battlefleets, and would operate in two theaters of the Union until more fleets could be handled in the Union. The 1st Fleet would handle the “Western” Sector, where they had already plenty of experience in dealing with the enemies on that Theater.

The 2nd Navy would be deployed in the Eastern theater, and would defend against the Ramhut Coterie, and the new Federation to the south. A Massive spending project on the Unions border fortresses would also be undertaken. Soon the Union of Territories Accord would have Citadel-Class Fortress Stations. Massive defensive stations that could destroy even the Union’s Fleet combined.

Alongside these naval reforms the Armed Forces would be reformed as well. Santiago Gonzales had gathered together the Unions top military analysts to gather a scope of the current state of the Union military. The Union of territories inquiry into the Armed Forces had found that in a future war Armed Forces would be woefully inadequate to deal with any serious war, citing the success of the Aunen invasion down to the Aunen already weakened from constant warfare from the Ramhut Coterie. A massive Peacekeeper reform had begun.

To start this they began a massive look at all aspects of ground forces, taking notes from foot soldiers and NCO’s, looking at manufacturing processes, looking at the quality of troops mentally, physically, and looking at the quality of their training. They would work their way up the branches of the military and would cause what many outside nations joked as the “Uprooting of the Military” claiming it would only leave a hollow husk in its stead and that it would be a wasted effort.
sci-fi-battle-2.jpg

5th Peacekeeper Army training simulation, Hard Landing Scenario 15th Regiment
However within a few short years the Union Peacekeeper ground forces which were once the laughing stock of even Earth militaries were now beginning to doubt their own militaries strength in the wake of these massive reforms. A series of Mars based tests now called the “Martian Maneuvers” had placed a total test on union soldiers fighting a wide variety of Wargames. These Wargames not only tested the quality of troops but allowed Officers and Generals and NCO’s to test out theories. Although many had died in these maneuvers, this ultimately had forged the Union Peacekeepers into a fully fledged military capable of facing any nation in the Galaxy.

This caused a massive stir, Intermally nations under the Military Coalition and the Isolationist Coalition were scared of these new reforms due to fears of being rendered useless in the UTA. Both of these Coalitions formed a joint-ticket nicknamed the Nationalist Coalition which would begin to jockey, lobby, and rally multiple nations and planets to their cause.
20190725015639_1.jpg

The elections of 2343 for the new Administrative-General would be known as the most important election in the Unions history. The Nationalist Coalition had a voting power of 35% when compared to the popular Progressive Coalition’s 30%. The election was hotly contested, but in the end Hee-Young Woo of the Progressive Coalition would win. With her election a consolidation of power under the Nationalists came to a screaming halt.
20190725015746_1.jpg

The Nationalists would be investigated by the Union Bureau of Investigations and found that the Nationalists had planned, and came close to overthrowing the Union Government, with further reports finding that the coup attempt had failed when the Nationalist Council failed to win the Administrative-General office. Much of the knowledge of this came from the Militarist Coalition which last minute had broken from the Coalition ticket and tipped off the UBI. The Isolationist Coalition had almost completely dissolved from the following arrests, inquiries, and public shaming. The Isolationist Coalition would remain, but would lack its former political clout. Following this crisis a contoversial proposal would barely pass making it illegal to form joint-coaltions.
20190725020306_1.jpg

This was called a close shave by all of the Union. Member nations of the Union however came to the clear realisation that the Union of Territories Accord was no longer a meager Supranational Organization but the new status quo. The UTA for better or worse has become a fully fledged nation, with Member Nations sim ply being a State in a grander Country. Humanity for the first time in History is united under one government. Not just humans however, Dexaaseeh, Rosterians, Alinthans, and more. The Union has weathered through the worst, emerging stronger than ever before.

Basically what happened was I was about to post this about a week ago but then the El Paso Terrorist attack happened, and given the nature of the events that happen in this part of the story I though it would be more appropriate to hold off on posting until its died down a little bit.
