Ok So to keep this On-Topic.

We Rule.............................

This forum is excellent for helping new members like me feel like We fit in. I think the types of games that paradox puts out bring a more refined customer base. Most Teenybopppers don't have the patience to play something that uses more of thier brain than simple shooting games or sports games. There are a lot less spam and flames, even in teh OT section. For the most part people are kind and don't say things like

"Idiot there's a whole 200 post thread about that question you just asked now go look for it"

Definatlya great place to visit. Besides the AAR's are 1000% better than Franchise or Dynasty reports any day.

I never ever joined a forum before joining the HoI forum... Just by reading the stuff that you find on some forums, I knew I didnt want to be a part of that.

Then I found the HoI forum (I had no choice, what was I gonna do with my HoI 1.00!!! ;) )... I have to admit, at first I spent a lot of time just reading you guys post about strategies, bugs, tricks to learn the game, AAR's, jokes (good and bad), and I finally decided to join officially. (I had the surprise to discover OT Land also - cant see it if your not a member!)

I really appreciate this and I'm looking forward to continue in the HoI II forum (already started a little)... and I'm sure I'll be seeing a bunch of you guys there!

To this day I never joined or tried another forum and I dont think I'll ever do again...

I agree with what everyon else has said. This forum is very positive on the whole, and I do think that Paradox games attract a more refined gamer, like someone mentioned before me in a prior post.

Oh, and the flames and crap are very low here, which is a plus compared to most forums out there you know? The HoI community is helpful to all, another plus! I'm glad to be addicted to Paradox games hahah!

I was referring to you 'killing' ME in a recent AAR. :p

Oh well that was just me taking the claim for you're death. ;) I figured since you weren't coming back, I might as well add some flare to my character and make him a conniving, homicidal man.

BTW if you ever plan to return I would love to have an archenemy. :D

One of the best things about this forum is how willing more experienced gamers are to answering noob questions (and the same ones at that) time after time and repeat thread after repeat thread (ex: I think this is the third thread on this :D ) It definatly helps given the higher learning curves of HOI and I tried be helpful when i knew the answer becuase thats how i was treated.

Kudos to all and I'm proud to be a member!

Yes that is commendable too. Most forums people are like "OMFG STFU n00b!" Also, newbies are rarely considered part of the "in crowd" of the forum. This one, however, people are patient and straightforward, and people don't mind you so long as you don't give an attitude.

Although I must admit, even though I've been told I have the "patience of a Saint" I do some times wonder why people tend to post questions....when a similar question is being asked in the thread previous them... :D
