We need period music DLCs for HOI4

I don't understand why people don't just use a Steam-tab YouTube playlist. It's free and you get full choice over what to play. Want to defend Britain to Vera Lynn? Mess around prewar Amerca swingin'? Marching to the east under the Konnigratzer? It's all there. I use this method for every game I play.

The problem is that if you post to YouTube, it complains about copyrighted music even on stuff that should be public domain.

I got dinged for the Songs Black ICE had for example.

Many tracks don`t work for majority of nations though. When you play as axis and Barbarossa Soviets, you don`t want to hear "axis rest in hell" lyrics, that is just stupid.
But many tracks of course work well. "Art of war" might work for any nation.

Are you joking? They literally have a song about "Panzers on Russian Soil"...

I would love to hear this play for USA when their soldiers make it to Berlin. Not a fan of music from that era, but this song is pretty good...Has more of a fallout sound to it tho imo

I believe this is one of the songs, someone can probably find you the rest if this thread is still viewed, Victoria is my least favorite Clausewitz game so I actually never tried the mod.

Big fan of sabbaton and they release some of their music for ck2.. I would love to see some of their music again in HOI IV.. They have 4 or 5 albums based on wwi and wwii

No, i am not joking. When i play as Germany and want to invade Soviet Union, i prefer not to listen to music about "axis rest in hell" or "hundreds side by side to stop the nazi charge". It works well if i play as Soviet Union, badly if i play as Germany or axis.

Not really surprising to anyone who has studied Germany of the time properly. Just listen to Hitler`s speeches, they are not mindless rambling, at one point for example he was raging about how everyone should help those who are poor, and everyone should always believe that there is someone in much worse state than you are. At other point he complained how nobody wanted to understand each other, and everyone only thought of themselves.
Nazis never would have gotten into power had they been mindless haters like neo nazis.
And song Funkerlied sounds like it is from 60s or 70s, not WW2. And it talks about girl also. Not about hate or duty or something like that.

I just hope i don`t get banned for "trolling" again.

Not sure why you felt the need to bring all that up. I just thought it was strange for a bunch of soldiers to go marching off to war singing about women.
EDIT: And I have studied Germany during this time.
