We need period music DLCs for HOI4

What I would really like to see if period-esque DLCs for music.

And I'm not talking about simply 5-15 minutes worth for $5, but I'd like to see 30-60 minutes worth for $9.99 (I'd be willing to pay more actually).

And I would want this to be nation specific.

Maybe Königgrätzer Marsch type of music for the Germans.

Deep choral music for the Soviets.

Jazz or big band music for the Americans.

It would also be interesting if minors got their own music as well.

If I was to pay for DLC music would be it for me and I really enjoy Amdreas Waldetoft's work.

So is this something many of you would also pay for?

Yes I kind of agree. We need music PACK dlcs, plural not singular. I love the vanilla music and also the variation we get in some music DLCs, but for pete's sake make more than one song. After playing your games for 1000 hours, it becomes SOMEWHAT repetative and I really want to support and encourage your composers to make more music.

I know it costs you money to produce music, but you should be able to fit in more than one song for five bucks. And if not, just make a bunch! I'm happy to pay 50 $ for 10 new songs.

I love the music they put into the victoria 2 Kaiserreich mod. That said i am certain that just as in EUIV you can import your own music.

Period music, or period-esque, would be fantastic. I would also gladly purchase any more of Andreas Waldetoft's work, should it come out as DLC.

I'd be less for a Sabaton or metal-esque pack and will almost definitely pass on those.

I doubt Paradox need any encouragement to make music DLCs - they've made several of them for every major title and will doubtless make them for HOI4 if it is a success (and by all appearances it will be).

Jazz (hopefully not just American-style jazz either: British and especially French jazz music at this time was quite brilliant) is a must-have. German music might be a bit tricky (am I right in thinking that tunes like the Horst Wessel song are banned in Germany?) But I'm sure they can come up with some Nazi-esque music of their own.

Marches and so forth aren't really period music per se since many of them were composed anything up to 100 years earlier, but I'm sure they'll be in as well. Balalaika and traditional Japanese/Chinese music is also very likely.

Do they need encouragement on making on making album ? Yes. Album as in more than one-two songs per dlc.

Because it becomes so repetitive after your 999th hour of playing. One could also just import vic2 and hoi3 music for some variety.

I don't understand why people don't just use a Steam-tab YouTube playlist. It's free and you get full choice over what to play. Want to defend Britain to Vera Lynn? Mess around prewar Amerca swingin'? Marching to the east under the Konnigratzer? It's all there. I use this method for every game I play.

Many tracks don`t work for majority of nations though. When you play as axis and Barbarossa Soviets, you don`t want to hear "axis rest in hell" lyrics, that is just stupid.
But many tracks of course work well. "Art of war" might work for any nation.

What i want is historical music, such as "Horst wessel lied" or Soviet national anthem. I love a lot of Soviet and German songs. But most of those can`t be added to HOI4, so i have to just use youtube/other source.

Either just add music to the game files or if you want nation specific, make a playlist on youtube. Bloody hell why would you waste a fiver on non-original music?
