I think next DLC or patch should concentrate more to bring the 3D unit models.
For example, in my actual Imperial Japanese campaign, i need Japanese Marine`s special uniform as was in HoI3.

While there are some 3D models mods, it's mostly geared towards Germans (gee, I vunder vhy...) and some minor nations. There's barely any skins for the other major powers.

But yeah, i would prefer better counters. Bigger AND easy to read. In Hoi3 you can see where the counters are going because there's an arrow next to it, pointing towards a direction/province. In HoI4, there's no arrow so you have no idea where the units are going unless you select them. And you cant select enemy divisions so you're screwed there.

I hate the 3D models, hated the sprites in previous HOIs (atleast you could turn those off!). And especially land unit 3D units. The map is congested with meaningful info as is.

And yes, I know it takes a lot of resources to develop them, but when I see "Romania" getting unique 3D models....I just face palm.

Trade your GFX guys to stellaris for a few more coders, to fix bugs, help write desperately needed evaluation algos for Steelvolt to help the AI.

I agree more unique 3d models would be nice but I'd also like to see some more unique 2d art as well.

I think a few people in this thread are being a bit forgetful that is not the artists that fix the ai or work in programming mechanics....

I hate the 3D models, hated the sprites in previous HOIs (atleast you could turn those off!).

Your can turn the models off in 4 as well just go to the game settings.

I'm well aware, but full heartedly disagree with the project manager's resource allocation. With the limited funding they have and the state of the game, why pump money into flashy objects that don't affect or improve the game.

I'm not saying to fire them, let them work on different games, like a sci-GI game, which tends to wow people with the visuals. Trade them for other resources that can code. Use their funding to hire contractors, to work on trivial things, like national focus trees...

Graphics are nice for a ww2 grand strategy game and I feel are icing on the cake. But when the cake is undercooked and soggy, I don't see how the icing makes the cake taste better.
