The game is anticipated to cover roughly 400 years or so following from 450 ab urbe condita, putting the end date around the middle of the Principate. A pretty huge gap to CK2, all told, though it wouldn't be surprising at all if a DLC expanded into the Crisis of the Third Century and a bit beyond.

Anyway, a gap of 100, 200, even 300 years would still be too much. A great deal can and does happen within a century, so at best you could hope for some kind of converter randomization mechanic - and even then that's not ideal, since it's random, not an organic in-game process resulting from player interaction. But as there's a converter from Total War: Attila to CK2, I'm sure a mod will take care of it.


i changed my mind .
i think that the migratory crisis will need to have its own dlc after all to have more unique cool mechanics and unites . (unless its already in vanilla )
