I just found this on wikipedia, about South Georgia:

During World War II (Autumn 1943 - Autumn 1944) the island housed a small (14 people) Norwegian military garrison to protect the island from Japanese invasion.

This is worthy of inclusion in HOI2, right?

Anyone have anything else? In other places I've posted about the war on Svalbard and the Faeroes...

What would the japanese be doing invading South Georgia? Maybe the germans passed by on their way to their Antarctic hideout, where they have all their spaceships and nukes. Or the allies feared they would, so handed the defense to Norway.

*lol* I mixed up South Georgia and New Georgia, I thought it would make perfect sense awaiting an invasion there ... thro in the US state and the one in the Caucasus ... phew
