Chapter 1 : A War Ends, a New One Begins
War was over, finally Canada, USA, Britian, and the other Allies are now victorious. Germany surrendered to the Allied nations and the Soviet Union in May 9th, 1945. It was then split up, creating British, American, and French sectors to the West, while the rest of Germany to the East was occupied by the Soviet Union. Now in the pacific Canada saw little action there. But on September 2nd, 1945, the Japanese Empire surrendered to the US forces in the area. Japan was soon after, quickly occupied by the US army, and Government. It was only after 2 new bombs called "atom bombs" were dropped on the to cities of Nagasaki, and Hiroshima, would Japan surrender.

Now we turn back to Canada. The People of Canada were quite happy hearing about the war ending, parades were held in major cities such as Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and Halifax. But the Canadian Government, along with its Allies, knew that the happiness may soon end, as a new war dawned, and it could lead to the distruction of many nations. As many of the Allies saw it, the Soviet Union was a threat to the security of Europe and the free Democratic world. They knew the Soviets were willing to risk it all to have Western Europe and parts of Asia, under the red banner.

On September 28th, 1945, Soviet troops crossed the border into West Germany, and fired shots upon Allied soldiers stationed in the area. The Soviets were pushed back as quick as possible. A day later the Allied Nations declared war upon the nations in the Commentern, which included the Soviet Union. Canada, as a part of the Allies, also delcared war on the Commentern.

Canadian troops stationed in Northern Germany, in the British sector, were told that they were to be sent to the front lines of the German campaign. The De-Militarlized Zone. The Soviets continued to attack there daily, the Canadians with the British forces, managed to stop the advance. Now around October 4th,1945, the situation in Germany is a stalemate, but the Allies think that the Soviets could break this anytime, and that they should be prepared for the worse.

The Canadian Government has told the industry to switch back to producing war material as the Canadians are going to need it to help in the war effort. The Canadians, are again preparing for another World War, which is destined to be worse then the last...
