We bled for this achievement

Hi all
I have won the religious league whith about 1.5 million dead in both sides but I did not get the achivement. I was not the war leader. Do you know if it's needed to be the war leader to get the achievement?

Also I am pretty sure if participants are peaced out they don’t count. The way I got it was to make sure I had over 1 million casualties personally

You have to be war leader, the same happened to me when I was not war leader during league war - did not get the achi.
