WC more annoying with CN's declaring independence?

I've heard that colonial nations are much more likely to become independent in the last game, in particular because the election events that allowed you to lower their liberty desire were removed. Doesn't this make WC a bit more annoying on that front? Or is it okay if you annex the colonizers soon enough, since perhaps the player (as opposed to the AI) can still keep their colonies from rebelling?

I colonised most of the Americas with the Hansa and if a CN rebelled the others shut it down. Close to the end of the game they sometimes rebelled together and it was a North America vs. South America fight.

Most of the times I didnt even had to intervene as they managed the rebellions themselves.

With less colonies or having them only on the same America could be a bit more troublesome.

Meh, doesn't really seem to be a problem, especially if you don't increase tarriffs. 99% of the time they just get put down by all the other CNs you have, and if a couple rebel later in the game, having large allies in Europe seems to work great as CNs seems to suck more than regular nations at launching naval invasions.
