So, what ways can you think of to really screw over history as we know it ingame? :D

1. As Germany, befriend and invite Poland to the axis
2. Japanese-US Alliance
3. France join Axis from the start
4. Italy join Allies from the start
5. Germany join Comintern or USSR join Axis

What more ways can you think of? ;)

Well, I guess you could do any number of things. Any civil war in a major nation is a game changer.

But on a more historical alternative history - Germany does not invade Czechoslovakia in 1939.

In reality, Germany got all the regions with German population and guarantee for Poland came only after Germany annexed Czechoslovakia that had no German population (except Sudetenland that was annexed before that). So if Germany stays there, does not invade Czechoslovakia, Poland gets no guarantee, and Germany might even come to an agreement with Poland about German population there.

All in all, no WWII, at least not the way we know it.

Or, if Czechoslovakia decides to fight back (during the Sudetenland Crisis), Romania and Yugoslavia were still in the alliance with Czechoslovakia, the Little Entente, that was backed by France. An early war that has half of Europe against Germany in 1938... that would be bad for Germany.

From my personal experiences, the best way to mess everything up is by making all 3 main factions (axis, allies, comintern) be at war against each other in a Mexican standoff. It makes an enormous mess.

What usually ends up happening is two factions bludgeon the third to death, and then remember how much they hate each other... Which, once again, is basically what happened in real life.

Now THAT would be interesting. I know that IRL the capitalists and commies made the best out of their uneasy relationship to basically compete for glory in the last year's of the war, but think of serious Allies vs Axis vs Comin.

Usually, at least it seems from nat. focuses, it's 2 v 1 in SOME way.
