By all accounts, I am surprised that they even were ABLE to take the siege. Diplomatically, at least the Archduke of Austria translates that action as a very hostile action by the Polish king. But Colonel, if you had been truly devoted to protecting the maps, you should have DOWed Poland and placed your navy outside Amsterdam. That would have stopped any attempts of stealing the maps.
