Indeed. So don't call it a loan then.

it came to you in the form of a loan, at 4%, 5 years time. That's a fact. :p

On the contrary! They provide extra merchants and also monopoly opportunity. They are rich provinces and I certainly lost a lot of money from losing the provinces. Why would Austria profit less than Spain? We are the two largest traders in the world. What makes Spain profit more from them?

but you weren't gonna keep them. ;)

So why mention those "Habsburg" ties over and over again? Obviously they mean zero to you as well.

Because Habsburg has always fascinated me.

Again, in-game =/= reality. The same as with alliance. This is the only way of sending large amounts of money in-game.

when sending big lumps of money( state gifts can only go to a limited amount unless 1 country is MUCH higher then the other) one uses LOAN fucntion
duration of loan= month
interst= 1 percent
amount = NO MORE the 1/2 of what the sending nation has at that time in the treasury

so 1 month later the receiver simplly refuses to pay back = 1 stability hit beeing the only penalty

Yes, this is one way to do it. Usually state gifts hover around 700-> when you get past 1500 so I see it as a way too. All the money I've gotten ingame so far have been gifts.

wonder who was doing that  sending gifts, i know it was not me :D

you could get soo much because you were VERY small...try to see how much it costs you to send to england for example ;) i bet VERY low...

seeing how much it costs you to send a state gift tells just about how you compare with the other nation; more like an "instant" ledger

the loan way of sending is BEST, simplly because can direct a more exact amount(and higher) but MOST important becouse using ONLY 1 diplomat to do so.... for example state gifts in agceep are very impractical, where there are non european nations gaining ONLY 0.50/diplomatc year( average monarch) or even lower maybe.

The main disadvantage being of course the time it takes to set it up. The larger the sum, the longer the time.

But here we get several diplomats/year and I haven't been in a hurry to get all my money in a big lumpsum so for me gifts have been working, both giving and receving.

Gifts on slower speeds are quite annoying, as you have to wait for 1 month until sending again. And when you want to send 3k?

We all do it differently I suppose. Don't you have to have 6k to send 3k in a loan?

it is just a simple file called "Province" (cvs extension?) to be placed in the "...../WATKABAOI/db/" folder.

this must be done by EVERYONE as to avoid any game delays based on " version does not coresspond" error when joining mp.

martmol said:

of course, NOT YET, since this only starts happening just before 1800's time frame... and from my understanding from "cool-toxic" it has something to do with the "ownership" of the "white sea".

i think everyone would hate constant ctds from the host becouse of this...especially since the bug can ctd you but then run a few more years when ctd again( eventually will become a permanent ctd no matter what anyway).
