Spain 1738-1758

The Austrian line had brought Spain prosperity and peace. Joining the Western Alliance by symbolicly acknowledging French claims on the Rhineland and banning anti-Italian propaganda from all Iberian media brought Spain under the manpower-umbrella of her densely populated neighbours. Manpower was the endemic problem for the Iberians, and with the American garissons chronically undermanned, this strategic decision bode the opportunity to encamp more troops in the colonies.

Spain's extreme prosperity and relative military weakness created much jealousy in Europe. Mistakenly thinking Spanish wealth lay in overseas possessions, all European courts had followed her example by planting their flags all around the globe. It started modestly, with killing some rebellious natives here and there, pretty soon the Europeans felt confident enough to take on larger nations like Japan or even outright giants like China. True wealth ofcourse lay in the noble souls and hearts of the Iberian aristocracy, the hard-working mentality of the castilian farmer, and the merchant spirit of the Iberian citizenry.
Apart from the Brazilian Trade-war with Austria, relations were good and trade flourished.

The Polish-Prussian war had come to an end, with the young Prussian State seceding her colonial possessions in Norway to Poland, which now effectively ruled the cradle of the ancient Germans, the Skandinavian peninsula. In a bizarre twist of faith the two countries made a secret pact to attack the Iberian Empire. After Carlos' death Maria Theresia took over his job as ruler of the Empire.

The miltaristic macho societies of Prussia and Poland saw this as their moment to attack. Convinced that a woman would not put up a fight, around 1750 they launched a massive invasion of California, Mexico and Peru. With only a few loyal brigades present, policing units rather than combat forces, and despite the glorious Italian counterattack, defences totally collapsed and Spain took two stabhitting peace offers in which it gave up souvereignity over the Trade center of Tenochtitlan to Poland and the northern Peruvian gold mines of Baracoa and Azuay. Maria Theresia was beaten. The Mother of the Nation had failed. Her subjects were in tears over the loss of the prestigious symbols of Empire in America.

Revenge was the only thing on her mind. Like a Lioness she would fight for her children. She plundered State resources to fund a massive army to liberate the colonies from the wrongful evil-doers who had caused so much upheaval in the world. Her advisors urged for cautiousness, and reminded her of Spain's pacifist tradition. But Mary went to war. Tenochtitlan was invaded by 100.000 men and was quickly captured. Many battles followed, and Italy and France got deeply involved as well, but overall the Western Alliance seems to be winning.

The war raged on for three years, without anyone willing to give in an inch, constantly throwing more troops in the field. Maria Theresia started thinking about diplomacy again. Military operations alone will not provide a long-term answer to creating a secure and peaceful environment in America, only a comprehensive approach, involving all interested parties, will enable a successful outcome for the American peoples. Spain will continue to engage the International Community in a coordinated effort to enable economical and social development, and the installation of good governance, including the rule of law and human rights.

Italy 1758

Treachery, ugly and vile. All a valid description of the actions of the once noble kingdom of Prussia and her newly befriended ally Poland. Spain, having recently put past tensions between Italy and Spain behind them had joined forces with Italy and France was prospering, rich and spanning the entire globe. There colonial Military was world renowned for being sub-par though and Prussia and Poland exploited that. War was declared and quickly Spanish America was blitzed by dirty Germans and vulgar, filthy Polish. Spain's colonial policing force was not match for the full scale invasion launched at them and they soon crumbled. A call to war was sent out to the alliance members, and much to Italy's suprise France did not join in, claiming some pact had been formed and there word had been given. That is no justification for allowing your ally to be overrun, atleast not in Italian court, as Italy went to war.

Soon, 150 thousand men were sent across the great Atlantic to aid the great Queen of Spain. An Asian brigade was deployed in India to disrupt and confuse the slow witted Germans. For all the effort it was to late, Spain trying to save face had accepted peace with the alliance and left Italy fighting Prussia. With 150 thousand men in South America but nothing really to gain Italy and Prussia decided there fight was not with each other and both agreed on returning to pre-war borders. The fight seemed a success and the Eastern nations were full of glee, finally having bested there obviously superior Western counterparts. But, dim witted these leaders could not see that the war had only begun. A 5 year build up had begun, the nations of Spain and Italy used all resources to prepare. Navy increased, army built up, positioning complete for invasion... Italy was ready. 5 years, almost to the day war was declared as expected, the great Italian fleet containing 120 thousand men set sail to South America. No sooner had they reached there destination when a message was delivered to the great King, Russia had declared war. Russia? the inhabitants of the bitter cold North, they had done nothing but pick up the Sultans scraps and pray for his continued kindness, they also had a set agreement with Italy over there only border with a non-Eastern Block nation. Fools if they thought they could touch the might of Italy. The navy was rerouted to China, a new front had opened up. The Russian navy, 400 ships strong was soundly defeated by the Asian fleet, a mere 90 ships. When the entire Italian fleet arrived Russia's navy coward in fear in there ports, terrified of the idea of naval combat the sent there hordes across the land border into Italian China. Italy's first army was eventually routed and defeated but three times that number is already on route to China. Although Italy's line of supply is long Russia is stretched very thing, with crumbling old forts, no naval support to speak of, and no way of any allies assisting them. Russia choice to enter a conflict they had no reason to be involved in just sealed there fate, Russia will be striped of her Asian holdings and pushed back into poor Siberia, the King of Italy swears it to be true and his word is omnipotent.

The rest of the war is going well, Spain has ravaged Prussia's colonial military but his advance has been halted. France, although fighting with Poland has not projected her might onto other theaters and once she does the war is ours. Even with the entry of Austria (The Arch-Duke, terrified is sure to join against the West, even though there cause is noble and for the glory of the Catholic faith) France's might and power will turn the tide of this war and break through the stalemated fronts that have come to be.

2 conditions:
1.
if that is the furthest eastern province(and ONLY one since the name sounds as beeing 2, sorry i do not have the game atm to check) then confirmed
2.
also i want a corresponding bb decrease; there has been at least 8 provinces or more edited to russia from the ottomans = - 8bb decrease( as if done in game that would have this effect as well). this only applied if it is not just a simple exact exchange, such in my case where i transfer provinces without gaining new ones.

No. Haven't done that before, can't start now. You can choose to do it in-game if it suits you better (less work for me :)).

getting bb-reduction, because of in between-sessions edits, is something i strongly object to. had it been so from the very strart, i would not have had any problem with it, but seeing you're the first to claim it, beregic, and noone else has done so, i completely disagree. Else you should also get stabhits for it.

Russia 1738-1758

The Tsars army stood poised on the battlefields of Mongolia with their sights set on the chinese outposts that were littering the borders. The battle hardened army had just been outfitted with new guns and new lodgings in Korea and near the old capitol of Moscow. However, they were held back by the royal diplomats as they had been informed that a lot of nations were in fact seeing nice peaceful Russia as dishonorable scum. The generals scoff at such outrageous claims and supposedly there have been reports that the generals uttered words that those nations should "say it to my face when I'm done stabbing theirs with my sword".

A lot of serfs had been released from the merchants clutches as the new empress Elizaveta I had forced the state to step in and put an end to rampant laissez faire in the empire. The last emperors had let the merchants rule at home while they where off fighting in the east and Elizaveta were tired of economic intruiging in the court. There had been enough intrigue over the throne as 3 of the last 4 emperors combined had ruled for less than a decade. So ended an unquestioned rule of powers beyond the state as both merchants and priests had been forced to obey the rules the state. Still a free nation in its root but with imperial authority that no other nation could match.

But Elizaveta is not without heart, she has ruled as an enlightened empress and have spent many months alongside the soldiers as the generals drink their schnapps. She have seen the horrors of the poor serfs and even more so the horrors of the unpaid labourers in the Imperial shipyard in the east. Soon after her coronation she commissioned 4 new shipyards to be built in Korea and 1 in the Philippines to releave the Siberian shipyard of much of the pressure that the capitalists had put it under. She created jobs for millions of labourers as the shipyards were built and even more so when the shipbuilding got underway. Elizaveta wanted to put the now liberated serfs to work so they could gain their economic independece from the merchants and capitalists but this did not sit well with the western powers.

French and italian spies, probably sent by hostile lackeys of the nouveau riche elite in power there, repeatedly sabotaged the building of new warships and stole blueprints for several new designs made by the people of Russia, for the people of Russia. This was not accepted by the military command that wanted a war but Elizaveta said that war and anger would solve nothing. But when the western powers bastardly declared war on the newfound friendship that Prussia and Poland had forged then the cup runneth over. Elizaveta could not sit idly by as the westerners did their best to destroy all forms of cooperation in the east.

As if that wasn't enough, the italians attacked Shanghai when most of the soldiers was on leave to see their families back home in Moscow. Some soldiers had never seen their children before and now they hade to leave their wifes again to go and fight for freedom in faraway lands. The Empress was on horseback in one small little village outside of Nizhny Novgorod when one little boy with big eyes asked why his father must leave him. She answered the boy: "Why does the westerners want to break our families I do not know, why they want to make the people of the East live through great sorrows I do not know. I do know that they must be punished for what they have done and that it is your father that will deliver them to the hands of the demons that will surely condemn them just as they themselves in their hearts condemn their own ways of life, their generals and even their so called kings."

The Doge must surely think of the children? But no, he claims russian land colonized by free citizens of the Empire and now he must die for this insult.

Edit: Yes, Harbin is in the middle of Manchuria. So yes, it's the province farthest to the east.

I disagree with Victor's edit request. If you wanted to that in game you would have to break your access and take your stab hit(s). In return for not doing that your bb reduction is taken away. Next game, that might be possible but as it is now I find it cheating. You are also making it so you have no truce for 5 years (You would have that during the game). So unless you give yourself stab hits, and a 5 year truce I cannot agree with being granted -bb.
