How do you run the mod? it's best to use the batch or Mod Launcher by KaRei.
If you use a shortcut then remember to copy incgrid.tbl from EU2\WATKABAOI\map folder to EU2\map folder. but make a backup of the one in EU2\map folder. If you don't then you can't switch back to Vanilla EU2.

Okay maybe I know a way then. If I make them join Englands alliance just after they dow France then the problem should be solved.

About France annexing it's vassals.. Maybe there should be events for each 29th year that breaks and then makes vassalships? Untill the historical date?

Its a bit difficult really because it depends whether you want it to be historical or not. I mean you could put heaps of events in that make it so each nation does as they historically did but then it would run more like a simulation than a game. On the other hand without historical events then things like the inheritance of Burgundy, formation of Spain, even the fall of Byzantium might not occur creating a Europe which is almost non-recognisable.

If you do that with the vassalships it would need to be every 10 years or so because AI doesn't always wait the full 30 years to diploannex.

I'm not sure on what should be done, it works well as it is it's just that it isn't always historical.

starting playing [1337] with Portugal.
It's very boring and you only have two options invade Castile or Morocco early in the game .

Canaries and Madeira should be for grabes.
Canarie should be with pop and difficult (high) to colonize.

Played with Madagascar Kingdom (strange name) for fun.
Every province has very high agrre to colonize. They should be agrressive to the european powers and not to the local kingdom. You start with one province and stay that way for long. Is it possible to change this?

Yeah I know. But it's also boring to play as Huron.

Well in every Scenario Canaries are colonised so if te difficulty is changed it will not have any real impact on the game.

Nope I can't edit so they have better chances.

Well.. The Romans knew of Cape Verde (Un sure) and Canaries, so a TP should be in order.

I'm trying to download 1.77 via the big red letters in post #1, but I'm only redirected to Filefront's front page... when I search I find v 1.76, which I've downloaded as an .exe file, but I can't open it or anything... help!

Tayya that 1.76 has been corrupted by Filefronts own system so just delete it. It has nothing to do with your PC.

Then go back to the first post in this thread and press the red text again. I've fixed the link. Filefront deleted the old link due to the size and "only" about 60 downloads.

Remember to download the fix if you want a little bit normal EUrope in the 1337 scenario.

no you can play it using moddir.

eg place it in a C:\Games\Europa Universalis II\WATKABOI folder and then create a shortcut to "C:\Games\Europa Universalis II\EU2.EXE WATKABOI"

OKay so the last two events in major_spa should change "country= FRA" to "country= SPA".
