Water Walkers

I remember seeing this occur very infrequently prior to this latest version update but now I'm seeing it happen all the time in my current game. Yep, I have inherited overseeing the Water Walker colony of survivors. All too often my colonists are traipsing directly through the water when navigating between points of destination when traveling from one place to another.

Saves quite a bit of time doing so but really breaks the immersion in the process.

Is this occurring with others as well or what?

This is a known issue, and we are working to get it fixed! Hopefully in the future your colonist's socks stay dry

I get this when the save gets converted from an earlier Save version (eg Save ver 53 to 59) and the terrain gets re-rendered. But sometimes on non-converted saves too. And not just water, they walk across fields as well.

@ellacharmed thanks for the info! I'll add the 'save version' to list of causes as well. With this issue the colonists can walk on water, across fields and through buildings as well.

I have them walk through fields but never on water or through buildings.

What ellacharmed mentioned with the versions makes sense.

In my case, this was from a new game as I have been starting over each time when any of the new updates come out. So, in this case, you don't have to worry about update conversion being the cause of it.
