This is a purely cosmetic suggestion

When you own more than half of the provinces next to a wasteland (depending on the save's settings) you "own" it and its given your map color and counts for your country's name placement.

and (since japan patch i think?) when you own all the provinces next to specific sea tiles, they count as "owned" for the purposes of name placement.

would it be possible to do that for the culture&religion mapmodes?

like, if more than 50% of the provinces next to a wasteland are of a culture/religion it shows up as that culture/religion in the mapmodes?

and if all the provinces next to a sea tile are of a religion/culture, it counts for the name placement in the culture/religion mapmodes?

this could make those 2 mapmodes look way cleaner.

It'd certainly be a bit strange in a few wastelands. Northern Canada most certainly would not be Christian or European in this timeframe. Nor would the inner Malay islands be hindu/sunni (the Orang Asli are still majority Animist today). Still it would make sense in most regions and certainly would make the maps look nicer. The game is already pretty ahistorical (lmao Carpathian group and Karelian being East Slavic) so it's not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
