Latest patch: EU2 v1.07b BETA Feb 1 2004 (second version)

I am the leader (Lorraine) of an alliance with Aragon, Scottland and Brittany.
Scottland declares war on Eire, I join and so does Aragon and Brittany.

At the same date Provence declares war on Brittany.
Aragon and Scottland joins (obvoiusly!), but I never got any request!

From the history log:
name = "September 20, 1436 : Scotland declared war upon Eire."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Aragon joined the war on the same side as Scotland in their war against Eire."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Brittany joined the war on the same side as Scotland and Aragon in their war against Eire."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Kleves dishonored a Military Alliance she had with Eire and Sweden."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Sweden joined the war on the same side as Eire in their war against Scotland, Aragon and "
name = "Brittany."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Provence declared war upon Brittany."
name = "September 20, 1436 : France joined the war on the same side as Provence in their war against Brittany."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Bourbonnais dishonored a Military Alliance she had with France, Provence and Auvergne."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Auvergne dishonored a Military Alliance she had with France and Provence."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Aragon joined the war on the same side as Brittany in their war against Provence and France."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Scotland joined the war on the same side as Brittany and Aragon in their war against "
name = "Provence and France."
name = "September 20, 1436 : Lorraine joined the war on the same side as Scotland, Aragon and Brittany in their war "
name = "against Eire and Sweden."

Is there any logical explanation?
Is it possible to choose which members of an alliance who should participate in a war?

You had a pending alliance call window open when the second DoW was called. There is an issue with only one alliance call being allowed at a time.

Probably working-as-designed to prevent someone from being called to an alliance war for an alliance you dishonored on another alliance.

But it'd be nice to be able to respond to all calls.

Just to kill my curiosity...

If I had not yet answered Scottlands request and Provence had declared war on Brittany September 21, had I still missed the request?

Was I just (un)lucky the declarations were on the same date?

Say the first war had been declared on the 20th and you managed to honor it on the 21st and the 2nd war had been declared on the 22nd, you would have been called (Assuming you honored the first call), yes.

You should change the message setting 'When a nation wants you to honor an alliance' to pause the game and the risk for this happening will be reduced.

I reported this ages ago but I guess the fix (any fix) got lost somewhere. :eek:
