Hi, simple request for Paradox.

When China loses their capital in Nanjing, can the new capital be relocated to Wuhan, and then when China loses Wuhan can the new capital be moved to Chongqing? This is historical.

Unlike in Hoi3 when the capital moves to Guangzhou after losing Wuhan or Nanjing, which is stupid for obvious reasons.

I agree, however I thought that Wuhan was just the military HQ and that Chongqing was the actual head of government. Regardless, it is ridiculous that Guangzhou is made capital after Nanjing falls.

Wuhan was the city that the KMT retreated to when the Chinese lost at the battle of Shanghai. The Japanese won a pyrrhic victory involving more than a million soldiers on both sides when they took Wuhan, because they thought if they defeat the KMT at Wuhan, they would surrender. Then the KMT relocated their Military HQ and government to Chongqing, I believe that is what happened.

I had never read that the capital was at Wuhan, even temporarily, but found this in Wikipedia:
During the War of Resistance/World War II, the capital city of China was forced to move inland from Nanjing to Wuhan in 1937 and from Wuhan to Chengdu, then from Chengdu to Chongqing in 1938, as the Kuomintang (KMT) government under Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek ultimately retreated to Sichuan to escape from the invading Japanese forces.

OTOH I never saw it move in HOI3 to anywhere other than Chungking. I'm sure that must have been by event? The normal arrangement was that a capital would move to another very high VP province, if the historical capital was captured. But I never saw it go to Canton, ever.
