I'm just asking as i still havent played muslims yet and just recently something happened that made me wonder.
So i was crusading in italy (fatimids had the kingdom of italy, again) and suddenly a tribal invasion took place with about 80.000 troops sieging from Genoa coming.
When they had sieged about three provinces, suddenly the war was over (the tribe won) and the crusade canceled.
Not only that it was sad to see the crusade canceled as i was finally winning more and more score and the IMHO without plausible cancellation (in the case of a crusade) of the crusade,
but the tribal invasion was over before the sheik (or what ever his title is) even had a chance to concentrate his troops on the tribal invasion forces.
1. So, is the warscore calculated differently in these cases and/or does it make sense ?
2. As well the obligatory question if a crusade should be cancelled just because the head of the enemy changes ?
Another point was the fatimids conquering the kingdom of italy twice in only some (maybe 3?) months, while the HRE took years to gain it back duchy by duchy, county by county.
Though this thread shall mainly be about my first two issues and not so much about muslims being OP, it seems that factionism isnt as much of a problem to muslims as it is for christians, as with christians they seem to lose most of their bigger faction wars.
Just my recent impressions.
