warped portraits. Please Help

Hey I'm new to Crusader Kings. I've been having an issue with all adult characters portraits. The images come out warped, kind of meshed together, and the help hints don't fit in the text box. Is there a fix for this? I've tried a few of the betas on steam but it was the same with each version. Please help.

The only beta you should be using in Steam is 2.2.1.1 - it has many crash and other bug fixes, and even some graphics issues fixed.

But your issue looks more like a video driver bug, we see that with the Intel integrated chipsets. If you need help finding the latest driver for yours, Please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity).

Your Intel video driver is out of date. See if Dell have a newer one for you, if not you'll have to do a manual install from the Intel site.
This is their .exe install, try running it first https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22521&lang=eng&ProdId=3231

If it refuses to install (ie Dell have restricted you to their drivers, not the generic Intel ones) you’ll need to use the .zip version
