1) Currently, Warlord's production buildings are named and produce units as follows:
  1. Warlord's Command: produces
    1. T2 Berserkers
    2. T2 Monster Hunter
    3. T2 Mounted Archer
  2. Gladiator Pit: produces
    1. T3 Phalangist
    2. T3 Warbreed
  3. Great Beast Lair: produces
    1. T4 Manticore Rider
We can see that each building a unit tier.
Units are ordered in the same order as empire upgrades that have to be researched in order to unlock them.

2) Now, given that:
  1. Gladiators' Pit is a concept not very different from Roman circus, where trained specialists would fight each other, or fight various beasts (in AoW3 context, I'd read animals and monsters), a difference with arena, that would only train fighters;
  2. Warbreeds, which are monsters, look like giant beasts, indeed.
What about:

3) Exchanging the names of T1 and T2 production buildings:

Gladiator Pit > Warlord's Command > Great Beast Lair

Now, what would mounted archers do in a pit or a circus?
Aren't both mounted archers and phalangists epitomes of troop specialization (cavalry, archers, pikemen) that you would expect from a Warlord's specialization building?

4) Delaying the production of two units, based on the name of the building, that are incidently known to change the odds on the battlefield when they enter mass production, I believe:
  • Gladiator Pit: produces
    1. T2 Berserkers
    2. T2 Monster Hunter
  • Warlord's Command: produces
    1. T2 Mounted Archer
    2. T3 Phalangist
  • Great Beast Lair: produces
    1. T3 Warbreed
    2. T4 Manticore Rider
Units are still ordered in the same order as empire upgrades that have to be researched in order to unlock them.
Yes, that would mean a nerf for Warlords, and I don't know if they deserve that, but it would look so consistent, imo.

I'm just proposing the above changes, because I've been wronged by two words (gladiator, beast) for a long time! o_O
