Think of it as the MechWarrior trying (and failing) to dodge the incoming missile, that might help.everytime my atlas makes a headbut because it got hit by a puny missile i die a little bit more, talking about immersion breaking.

Just as HBS gave us the Hatchetman and Bull Shark, in the fullness of Time it very well may be up to HBS to craft the Crusade, Stinger, Wasp and Valkyrie too! : )I thought the War Hammer was a 75 ton mech? Well my only source is a Technical Readout on the original Warhammer from 1986. Anyways I really like the look of the PGI Warhammer. If only there was the Crusader mech, in this game, I would be ecstatic.

It's okay, I often think the Warhammer is 75t also.I thought the War Hammer was a 75 ton mech? Well my only source is a Technical Readout on the original Warhammer from 1986. Anyways I really like the look of the PGI Warhammer. If only there was the Crusader mech, in this game, I would be ecstatic.
Sorry I was wrong lol. I just found it and yeah it was 70 tons.
Probably because of the Marauder. It's okay, I often think the Warhammer is 75t also.

This is this is why the Marauder can’t have nice things. The Warhammer does something and the Marauder takes the blame.Probably because of the Marauder.
Yeah, the Warhammer definitely gets rounded up to be with the Marauder at times. I think it has to do with having somewhat similar BVs (along with the thunderbolt also, until I learn a long time ago that was 65t).Probably because of the Marauder.
Well, to be frank: a whole lot is similar with them.Yeah, the Warhammer definitely gets rounded up to be with the Marauder at times. I think it has to do with having somewhat similar BVs (along with the thunderbolt also, until I learn a long time ago that was 65t).
Dual-PPC ovens both of them, check. AC/5 + 2xML or 2xML, 2xSL, 2xMG as backups? Your call.Well, to be frank: a whole lot is similar with them.
Between the Marauder and the Warhammer I meant, for those following along.Dual-PPC ovens both of them, check. AC/5 + 2xML or 2xML, 2xSL, 2xMG as backups? Your call.
I'll be in the Thunderbolt, I mean "planetary assault 'Mech", what more need I say?![]()

It's funny that nobody remembers the Marauder as 70 tons, it's always the Warhammer that gets misremembered as 75 tonsThat's one of those weird memory hole things because I always mis-remember the Warhammer as a 75 tonner if only because it has so many more (admittedly smaller/low tonnage) weapons piled into it than the 75-ton Marauder.

Anyway it's understandable to mix them up; apart from the very, very different visuals they are more-or-less variations of the same theme:
It is kind-of weird in that special BattleTech way that the 'Mech focused on long-range weaponry is the better armoured one
- Both are 4/6/0 movement.
- Both have dual PPCs as primary weapons.
- Both have dual MLs as backup weapons.
- Marauder is long-range, with an AC/5 as a secondary weapon.
- Warhammer is short-range, with an SRM-6 as a secondary weapon, and 2xSL + 2xMG as additional backups.
- The Marauder is slightly better armoured, 11.5 tons to the Warhammer's 10 tons.
- The Warhammer is slightly better cooled, 18 heat sinks to the Marauder's 16.
- The biggest difference is in the engine; the Marauder's engine is three tons heavier than the Warhammer's.

BattleTech’s Warhammer and Marauder predate the Clans by about 6-years Real Time and their respective 2515/2612 Introduction dates, precede the first OmniMech (2854) by more than 3 and 2 centuries respectively.I think when he created these mech''s minds have already held omnimech clans. They are all sharpened for long-range work and all well armored. Almost have all mechs in Prime Variants is worth 2 ER PPC
