People have been going on and on about doomstacks since release, so I'm not going to rant about it. Instead, I just have a question: Will warfare be changing in some way in 1.5? I know the patch is more internally focused, but will there be at least some minor changes to how war works?

Hopefully.

While doomstacks are the hardest to beat they have changed the way combat works more than a few times since release, and I maintain that having to chase down multiple fleets that are attacking your empire's infrastructure can be just as dangerous for different reasons.
