Consider Warband and With Fire and Sword's relationship to be like that of Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2 Special Forces. With Fire and Sword is fun, but the bigger, more fleshed out, and fun game where the engine truly shines is Warband for sure.

And finally to quell the rumors - 99% of 1.134 Warband mods WILL work with With Fire and Sword. :)

Wow...1.134 mods for Warband? I am impressed! Personally i never really liked the game. The idea was great but the overview map was uninteresting and i kind of hated the idea of Norsemen, Nomads, Western Europeans and Mameluk-like kingdoms all coexisting in an area so geographically compact. Deserts and ice caps coexist in proximity that could never really occur. It reminds me of the map that used to accompany all classic Conan comics, with all the tribes of that universe packed in a little square :) Don't want to sound over-critical, but the chances that all these diverse realms would be the successors of a single, medieval realm, is kind of illogical.
Despite all these, i got both games to support the devs, and hope for th best in the future. I was planning to start F&S today, but this proclamation of 1134 mods got me intrigued. I love modding and feel i might be missing out. Any mod suggestions?

It's fantasy, man. However, there are a lot of mods based on real-world timelines!

I believed it was 99% of the mods (however many) that have been adapted for patch version 1.134, not 99% of 1,134 different mods.

But given how many mods there are, both might be true :p
