Sword, now that i think of it, having Handy Robots as combat units is pretty stupid. They are not supposed to be used for combat, they have what? Claw, hammer and circular saw? Not much to deal with... Maybe use the protectrons as base robot unit and use this guy as improved protectron?

Every american tried to buy Mr Handy. So even if they aren't efficient they are in great number: they are the robot militia.

Hey,
I really loved playing this mod it made me play the fallout games from fallout 3 and now new vegas awesome you guys!
I keep checking this mod and cant wait to play the new version with the new combat system.

I dont think that new vegas really offers alot of extra to this mod. The big things that happen in NV are that the NCR and Ceasars Legion are fighting over houverdam. This could become a big thing but i dont know how it fits in the timeline i am not to familiar with the Fallout history and timeline to place it all.

An other import thing what NV is about is the city New Vegas and than mostly the strip where some casino's are run by 3 families. The city itself is under control of Mister House a human from before the war and founder of RobCo Industries

If there is a way i can help in this mod i really would love to.
I have no experiance in modding or programming so i dont think i would be much of a help but if there are some easy jobs that would take some of your time better spend on a more difficult side of the mod i can perhaps help!

And according to the fallout wikia, most of Vegas is intact as it wasn't directly hit by a nuke. The hoover dam is still running and providing electricity to the surrounding areas, its the strategic point of the area besides intact vegas. Like the above poster said mafia famillies are fighting to gain power on vegas and locals, while NCR want to conquer the area. And theres supposed to be a raider khan marauding in the area, but couldnt find more info on that.

Imo it is more interesting than Kurtz camp and his story.

Thanks for the information on New Vegas. There's too much to do to release 1.1 and get ready for Darkest Hour to even contemplate changing the mod to accomodate Fallout 3 expansions. Kurtz's Camp was a fun idea which now lives and breathes in the mod.

Sorwd, I have started on a Europe senario but it's just the basics so far.

Yes that's great Supeerme, but I want you to understand something from the start. It would take you hundreds of hours of work to make it playable. Each nation takes at least a few hours. Then there is the map, AI files, events and the list goes on and on. I find that getting pictures for ministers and leaders from the Web is one of the slowest parts of modding. If you want a polished result that is.

So why start on such a project unless you are certain you can sit there night after night modding putting in the hundreds of hours that are needed? It is a massive undertaking.

The FODD Asia scenario was made by Serban. He put in a lot of work and what came out was an alpha. Sure you could fire it up and it had a map, but it had very default settings for every nation. It was extremely underdeveloped and all the nations needed to be properly done. They had leaders made with a program someone has made for HOI2 modding, but the stats are random so you get level 9 leaders with lots of traits. In other words, completely unusable. No events, rough content, etc.

That was the result on someone putting in a lot of time. So much more was needed.

If you have the desire to mod, you could help the main mod! Why not do that instead? I could use the help.

Or if you decide to continue with doing Europe, it would be far better to choose a very small section of Europe and get that fully finished. You haven't asked me about IDs or Tags yet either. It would be much better if you made your IDs fit in with the main mod as happened with FODD Asia. It gives the option to add your content to the main mod one day.

Well I was thinking of improving the main mod but i felt that I might be an inconvenience. I start helping with the Main mod instead.
Naah, you're not an inconvenience mate. I've always appreciated your interest and posts for the mod. It would be great if you could help with the main mod. Though I have done most of the action items for 1.1 there is still a fair bit of work to complete.

I will assess what specifically I need by tomorrow night and post that. If you could both help with some small tasks like finding pictures, that would be a big help.

I am adding some content for the mod based on the Tragic the Gathering event chain. This is one of the action items for 1.1. Tadziomencel submitted his version of the events. I am using that as a base and making some adjustments. One of the cards relates to the Conqueror, who is a previous contributor to the mod and has an ingame character now.

So I need pictures in support of that. Thanks guys.
