What does RCC means?

There should be an event chain for junkers like so: if they dont join ceasar in time and if the slave rebellion are big enough, then east BoS should take the opportunity to help the slaves and take over the Pitt.

I've always thought about this idea I have every since I played the older versions of this mod, when I notice how very few instances of practical applications for a navy this mod presents. Sure, we got a Chi/NCR vs. Enclave and perhaps a Canada, FUSA, Mexico and Texas naval warfare chances but not much else, and even that felt very limited, especially in the older versions. I really liked how the navy was modernized (and the airforce ever since I researched Choppers together with nukes, but I digress), but I would really like to see Cuba.

I mean, it has potential. If we assume it wasn't nuked into oblivion, there could be plenty of things to put on those few spots. Maybe divide the land between the descendants of the Communist regime and democratic (or something, maybe anarchists or a Organized Gang). The winner takes all of Cuba and expands onto the rest of the Americas!

Or, hell, maybe it a pirate nest to spin the navy thing into overdrive. Pirates of the Caribbean and Waterworld jokes ahoy!

Well, that's just the idea I had; have Cuba join the fray!

It's great to see this mod's still alive. I guess you get this all of the time, but do there exist any plans to transport this mod on to HoI3?

I always hoped for, in the far flung future of this mod's development, that the map might eventually expand to places like Hawaii, the Eastern portion of China, Japan, and Maybe the tip of Russia across the Bering Straight. Also Cuba and the Caribbean, MAYBE part of the coast of South America (I'd imagine the Rainforest and Amazon would be alot like the mutated wetlands and everglades of Flordia and be impossible for human settlement; with giant Carnavorous plants, snakes, lizards and the like) and MAYBE Britain and Austrailia.

As on other parts of the world and why I could see they would not be added:
Europe probably didn't fair as well as the U.S., being a higher concentrated area of population, that and the EU balkenized and bickered and fought each other before the nukes, so there wasn't probably a large effort to build vaults like there was in the U.S. and possibly China. Also there were probably many nukes being set off in close proximity to each other, thus a higher concentrated rad level and much more toxic conditions. If there are any human communities left in Europe it would probably be in the wider eastern portions in the Ukraine, Eastern Poland area etc. but meh Europe would be to much work to add anyways.

Africa, S.E. Asia, and India would probably be like how I described the Amazon. The Middle East would probably be abandoned for the most part due to bad waters except for some raiders preying on traders and travelers passing through.

Looks like your installation is incorrect.

Propaganda pic for EBoS and Enclave should be switched.

Why? They have different and distinctive power armor.

What does RCC means?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a post-apocalyptic mod that involved the entire game map, but it's so much to do for the modders that'd be nearly impractical to add the same level of detail elsewhere too. Besides (and this is a personal opinion), I feel that any Fallout oriented mod should be restricted to the North American continent (but much to his credit, Sword has been working overdrive and included Mexico and central America).

The again... The abandoned USA bases on Greenland could have some interesting tech and equipment. Not to mention the storage of every breed of farming plant known to man planed in a underground bunker up there. That'd present some inter- No!

Cuba's enough :)

Is there any way for the endgame alliances to not mess up the alliance you have at the moment?
It isn't really logical to lose all of your allies at once, especially if they do not join any other alliance. On top of that, I played FUSa and ended up not leading American Unity, but having to join Canadians :rofl:

Also, as I'm sure has already been reported, it's kind of annoying when at end-game FUSA doesn't exist, yet people STILL decide to join FUSA, and end up, you know, not engaging in WWIV.

Is Robot Nation meant to completely switch cabinet when you go to Fundamental Oligarchy to God Machine's cabinet? (And not be able to change back?)

Also, Enclave is not the leader of Dictatorship, and Broken Hills leads the Jihad. After they got annexed by VC, Station Zeta rightfully took over. In the surrender screen, Jihad shows up with 0 VP. Madness,madness I say! :D

Prior to the endgame, I was at war with Enclave, and I was allied to West Bos, East Bos, NCR, New Arroyo (these two joined Jihad correctly, at least), and Shi. In regular play, you cannot leave an alliance if you lead it, so maybe "leave our current alliance" in the Endgame event causes the mess?

Anyways, I'll reload and try to disband my alliance, then make peace with the enclave. Or the other way around. :)

Old ghoul modders don't actually die, they just go to sleep and everyone thinks they're dead. Then they wake up and find they've been made into a "genuine Egyptian mummy" for some freak show! Sheesh!

Too easy playing Robots, you say? Hmmmm... I thought they were a harder nation to play than some of the others. Basically, what this mod needs is some scripted alliances and mechanisms to make it harder to conquer the entire map. It's under discussion on our forum and I will act on that.

Well, that's what Brother Vlad convinced me to do. Robot Nation can't even build units at the game start, they need to research the first techs in their unit lines.

You're talking about easy conquest as I mention above.

I think each region needs an event chain that looks for player expansion and makes some intelligent alliance to oppose it. Plus the AI files could be worked on also. It's a matter of me having time to do this.

That is a great idea for a region specific event chain to help counter FUSA expansion. I will note that in my list of ideas. There is also a thread on our forum about a "Mutant threat" war in the east.

Glad to hear from you again and I'm happy that you're testing the new release.

Yes, there is an error somewhere in the scenario file that I introduced when finishing release 1.0. I'll look for it when I get a chance, but otherwise I don't care because it doesn't affect playing the mod.

You should see minister pictures, etc. The winrar archive file should have a *lot* of content inside \gfx\interface\pics which should have gone into your game installation folder. Check that.

Why should I switch pictures?

RCC stands for Royal Canadian Commonwealth. The Commonwealth concept fits the mod content made for Canada, referring to the former British Commonwealth. It also provides a nice tie in to the Commonwealth in Fallout 3.

I shortened it to RCC as the long nation does not fit well in events, etc. I should really shorten God's Republic of Texas and the New Republic of Mexico too.

Not sure about that idea for Junkers. I don't have much time to spend on that small nation. Feel free to post a thread on our forum though if you want to explain that idea.

Great minds think alike. Ideas about Cuba have been raised before. They will be a pirate nation I think. Yes, naval part of the mod will be attended in one coming release. Maybe 1.5?

No plans for HOI3.

We plan Hawaii and Pacific provinces. I toyed with the idea of going as far as Japan and also New Zealand. Not sure if that will happen.

We also plan Caribbean for sure. No plans for the rest. It's just too much work. I haven't heard from Brother Slaughter for many months, but I think he had a lot of fan material made for post apocalyptic Brazil.


I like your ideas though. Trouble is, it's too much to make the map bigger than what is planned. I do want to slow down conquest though.

Another mod fan! Report to Zombie Kitchen number 237. (Spawn Zombie Apocalypse in a game and swap to play that nation and you'll understand that reference to Zombie Kitchens.)

@Sword Yeah, I don't know why I'm getting the crashes. Still, I noticed they've been shifted ahead by something like 6 months from before, occurring now at the start of '37. I used a clean install and followed the installation directions to the letter, if there's any question

About that Pirate Cuba nation, wouldn't it be extra hilarious if they where Ghouls?

For game purposes, there are no obvious naval ghoul nations, and... Heh, zombie pirates. Need I say more?

Oh, I'm just raising the question, but there might be a good idea to add a nation-specific tech-tree for a naval-centric nation. But I imagine that being a lot of work. Would it be a good idea to have a Cuba Event that gives them, say, 20%+ moral to naval forces and extra "oil" from a modified nuclear submarine (in the shape of an event again) to power the navy?

What do the rest of ya'll think anyway?

Robots are fine as they are, they have a start handicap. They are not the hardest but they are not easy as canada who have no enemies and free reign in the northern lands. FUSA is the hardest really now, AI get steamrolled every time.

Yes, there is an error somewhere in the scenario file that I introduced when finishing release 1.0. I'll look for it when I get a chance, but otherwise I don't care because it doesn't affect playing the mod.

You should see minister pictures, etc. The winrar archive file should have a *lot* of content inside \gfx\interface\pics which should have gone into your game installation folder. Check that.

Not sure about that idea for Junkers. I don't have much time to spend on that small nation. Feel free to post a thread on our forum though if you want to explain that idea.
I meant to talk about somekind of event chain that will be just like the story of The Pitt addon for Fallout3, seing as Junkers already has slave rebelion events.

East bos are a likely faction to take advantage of such situation, because they are hungry for worms and want rightious-holy-brotherly-global domination.

Great minds think alike. Ideas about Cuba have been raised before. They will be a pirate nation I think. Yes, naval part of the mod will be attended in one coming release. Maybe 1.5?
We also plan Caribbean for sure. No plans for the rest. It's just too much work. I haven't heard from Brother Slaughter for many months, but I think he had a lot of fan material made for post apocalyptic Brazil.
If you do make cuba and the pacific, plz make them only travel in america not further west.
I like the daren tribes, their amazonian brothers sounds cool.

Japan makes a good area for an apocalyptic samurai battleground, but the pacific provs??? New zeeland??? Not much space for more than an isloated island tribal nation.

I like your ideas though. Trouble is, it's too much to make the map bigger than what is planned. I do want to slow down conquest though.

Ya its an idea though, if I was good at modding I'd definately try to contribute and do work with my ideas, meh maybe one day.

But in the event you ever decide to go as far as New Zealand, try to add some of Austrailia in as well, Mad Max ahoy. haha.

@ Neoman Well, that map'd certainly make a good use of a navy, that's for sure.

For any post-apoc mod, I'd love too see as much as the world possible being available, but I always had the feel that in the Fallout world, nothing exists beyond the US of A. The places mentioned in history, the European Union and China being the main examples, are distant and presumed devastated beyond imagination.

Though... I have to admit, the Shi Empire sending an expedition to Old China would be an interesting idea. Especially if all they find is ruins and irradiated deserts. But I guess that's the point, what could exist in China besides that?

I can imagine a lot of Akira references being made as far as Japan's concerned though

TL;DR I'd love to see that map in a mod, I just dunno if it fits the "atmosphere" of a Fallout mod.

Well, now that it comes out, I do have a bunch of ideas on how to "globalize" the mod... I would mod them myself if I had the time and the knowledge, but since I don't, I'll post them here:

SOUTH AMERICA​
First of all, I'd give more territory to the Darien Tribes, maybe make them a serious power in the Colombia-Ecuador area. Also, I read about an all-women tribe in Brazil... "Amazon Empire", perhaps? It could be interesting. Also, I suggest a Pre-War-like nation in the Argentina-Chile area: "Los Nuevos Conquistadores" (The New Conquerors, or whatever). I picture them to be the remnant of the Pre-War states of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, who fled south when the Bombs fell; and now try to regain territory from the Tribes on the North. Also, a Post-War Incan Empire (Sons of the Sun) set in the Peruvian mountains could fit well...

FAR EAST​
Since the canon says little about Japan, I say we could assume that the bombs did not hit the Japanese Islands, leaving them free from the devastation. However, the aftermath caused their economy to crumble and disappear. What I suggest is creating one or two hyper-technologic, yet hyper-traditionalist Samurai Nations, always battling each other. Akira references could fit here, as said.

As for China, I suggest creating a faction consisting on the remains of the Chinese Red Army, who would be trying to rebuild the nation; and a fundamentalist sect of chinese ghouls and mutants located in Southern China (the New Breed), trying to establish a new world order...

For SE Asia, I suggest some kind of Criminal Joint, heavily attached to New Reno, dominating all Indochina based on the production of drugs.

OCEANIA AND INDONESIA​
It will sound like a cliché, but yes, I suggest two Mad-Max-like raider clans, one in Australia, one in NZ, constantly fighting in an endless war. For Indonesia, I propose some kind of "Mutant Intelligent Ape Nation".

EUROPE, NORTH AFRICA AND MIDDLE EAST​
Starting with the UK, I suggest an isolationist, elitist and paranoid Britain like the one depicted on "Children of Men", or maybe a fascist British State like in "V for Vendetta".

For the Iberian Peninsula, I suggest this storyline: After the end of the war with the Middle East, the resource pool in Spain and Portugal went dry. This drove the countries into complete anarchy for more than 50 years. In 2127, a group of Basque capitalists sign a contract with the UK, for which they will get the resources required to establish a new Basque State. Also, Catalan industrials ask for the same measures to be applied to their land, yet the UK denies it. Finally, in 2155, the newly-forged Basque State helps Catalonia to establish. This causes the rest of the anarchic Peninsula to join in a Commune set to run over both capitalist states.

I also suggest a Viking nation in Scandinavia, and a "300"-like Spartan Kingdom in Greece.

For Italy, I would include a devious, megalomaniac Papal State, bent on controlling the whole European Mainland.

For Central Europe, I would add the rebirth of a nazi Germany and a Soviet Russia, both struggling to be the dominant Superpower in the old world.

Last but not least, I would also add an all-islamic State, willing to conquer the weak European continent, with the perpetual menace of the last remaining nuclear warheads of Pakistan and Iran.

Just my two cents. Hope you like them.
