War score contribution using foreign armies

Hi ,

Playing as Spain and Germany lent me 64 Divisions , So I invade and conquered the UK with said divisions. But my war score was still tiny compared to Germany. The peace deal meant I could only get Yorkshire. If I had used my own troops would it have made any difference?

In the specific case of invading the UK, this might not be the issue. If Germany and Italy have lots of casualties and bombing and if you do a quick and efficient occupation of the UK, you could easily find their war score is higher. You can avoid capturing London and try to get more of a fight going (which you can wing whenever you need) but Germany might send forces over to accelerate the process. My point is that War Score is more about the grind (occupation, casualties and bombing) and less about who did the brilliant move which ended the war.

It's because casualties matter for your war score. If you used German units, the casualties were German, no matter who commanded them.

It's weird. I made a topic about this a while ago:

Shouldn't inflicted casualties matter more than sustained casualties for the war score?

There may be something I'm missing, but doesn't it make sense for inflicted casualties to be more important than sustained casualties for war score? If you play as France and lost 500k manpower and only inflicted 30k manpower, you did pretty...
